All the crap news stories shown on tv everyday (Brit,Paris & Lohan), why can’t they show “Real Americans” who have just done thier jobs without any glamour. I hope these guys find it in there hearts to serve in a public office.

It’s ineviteble that a percentage of service men and women will end up in public office. Therein lies my best hope for the future of this country.
Although I know we’ll sink lower and the fight will get harder, eventually we’ll come around. They are our next Greatest Generation.

Anyone remember watching Leventhal at 11? with shephard smith? i used to watch that every night when the war first kicked off. great reporting

Jak this is already taking place in the San Diego area.
Capt. Duncan D Hunter (USMC) is back from Afghanistan and is running for his fathers seat.
SSgt. Nathan Fletcher (USMC) is running for a seat in the California Assembly.
Maj. Michael Crimmons (USMC) is also running for a seat in the House of Representatives.

That is a pretty good start.

Thinking back to Rick’s reporting from the initial push into Iraq it was cool that he was embedded with an LAR, I was 1st LAR. My favorite report was a satelite phone report he was in the middle of when you heard “reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee……boom boom boom” “reee…boom” “boom boom boom boom boom”
The gunner had put his gun on target and fired 3 sensing rounds, adjusted fired one, seeing he was on target he let 5 rounds fly! I was surprised that I could tell what rate of fire the gun was set at.

    OHHHHHHHHHHH RAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! Semper Fi!!
