Weather Channel Founder Proposes Suing The Goracle To Expose GW Fraud

What usually happens first is the weaker sections of the garment start to come apart after a little testing, and before you know it the whole thing is ripped to shit and you tie it into a big knot and toss it out for the dogs to play with.

The Weather Channel has lost its way, according to John Coleman, who founded the channel in 1982.

Coleman told an audience at the 2008 International Conference on Climate Change on March 3 in New York that he is highly critical of global warming alarmism.

“The Weather Channel had great promise, and that’s all gone now because they’ve made every mistake in the book on what they’ve done and how they’ve done it and it’s very sad,” Coleman said. “It’s now for sale and there’s a new owner of The Weather Channel will be announced – several billion dollars having changed hands in the near future. Let’s hope the new owners can recapture the vision and stop reporting the traffic, telling us what to think and start giving us useful weather information.”

The Weather Channel has been an outlet for global warming alarmism. In December 2006, The Weather Channel’s Heidi Cullen argued on her blog that weathercasters who had doubts about human influence on global warming should be punished with decertification by the American Meteorological Society.

Coleman also told the audience his strategy for exposing what he called “the fraud of global warming.” He advocated suing those who sell carbon credits, which would force global warming alarmists to give a more honest account of the policies they propose.

“[I] have a feeling this is the opening,” Coleman said. “If the lawyers will take the case – sue the people who sell carbon credits. That includes Al Gore. That lawsuit would get so much publicity, so much media attention. And as the experts went to the media stand to testify, I feel like that could become the vehicle to finally put some light on the fraud of global warming.”

Earlier at the conference Lord Christopher Monckton, a policy adviser to former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, told an audience that the science will eventually prevail and the “scare” of global warming will go away. He also said the courts were a good avenue to show the science.

Wow its all starting unravel now. Global warming was thought by a bunch of pseudo-scientists and people who just wanted to be involved in something big at any cost. Its a shame real “scientists” forgot to think about natural earth cycles.

We knew it all along, there are good scientists out there, but they risk defamation at the hands of idiots who believe anything. Bet everyone who knew this was bs from the start will never hear one apology.

The Weather Channel is paying the price in the media marketplace for becoming The Global Warming Channel. Gore and his acolytes are not concerned about saving the Earth. They are concerned about controlling the Earth. Any bonehead who invested a single dime in carbon credits deserves a red ass.

    Don’t watch it anymore!

Does this mean you don’t like my idea of an internet business for selling discount carbon credits ?!

PS John Coleman does the local weather here in San Diego, he’s long been on a harang about the weather channel, good guy to boot. Wish him well.

  6. Gary in Midwest

I’d buy one carbon credit to watch him eat his Nobel prize?

Gee, my prayers have been answered…Someone really is challenging Gore in a serious way…..I think I’ll start praying for something else really cool, like an the toppling of the regime in Iran.

Now is a good time to take count of all the “man-made global warming” chumps so people won’t forget how stupid they are. Also, it can be brought up when they start politicking another flavor-of-the-week, knee-jerk cause. Let’s see, there’s Al Gore, Leo DiCaprio, Keanu Reeves, Alanis Morrissette, Sheryl Crowe, George Clooney…

  9. JonnyMordant

Never seen it, but this John Coleman guy is apparently above average intelligence!

If this lawsuit is to be determined by a Jury then we all know what that means… Several more months of listening to Al-Gore snivel about another re-count.

    The Weather Channel? a joke.

Hussein mentions global warming in the new Ohio ad even. talks about our dependence on foreign oil then mentions how we’re melting the polar ice caps in the process. what a chump!

    Bravo John Coleman!

Holy crap! I did not know John Coleman founded the Weather Channel and felt this way about GW. He was my weather man in Chicago (WLS 7) when I was a kid growing up and is now here in San Diego (KUSI).

Forecasting weather in Chicago was a VERY tough job and he was always spot on. I would trust him on this stand 100%.

It’s pay up time Weather Channel, ya might be watching who you hire next time around.

Accuweather has a side bar blog where the GW whackos do their lies, and get there asses kicked regularly.
