5.5cm long, and fires 4.53mm bullets up to 112 metres.

When I hear the word “Minigun” I think of something completely different…

I can hear Pvt. Joker now:

“Are those live rounds, Leonard?”

“Four-Five-Three millimeter…full metal jacket.”

This is the world’s smallest gun - and although it might look like a harmless toy to some it is anything but as it is capable at firing deadly bullets at a speed of 300mph.

The Swiss Minigun, being marketed as a collector’s item, is two inches long, and fires 4.53mm bullets.

Costing £3,000 (about $6,000 USD) in stainless steel, a gold-plated, diamond-studded version is also available.

It cannot be imported into the UK, and buyers in Switzerland and Europe must get a permit from police to own one.

The gun is banned in the US - because it is too small to qualify for sporting purposes.

That last line doesn’t seem quite right…
As I understand it this gun has a muzzle velocity around 450fps and bullet under 5mm, which would put it in the same “threat” category as a bb gun. Could put an eye out or raise a nasty welt but not exactly deadly. I don’t remember anything in the second amendment about “sporting purposes”.

In my estimation the only purpose for that piece is “sporting” more money than brains.

You know who this gun would be perfect for?

    Indian muscleman Aditya ‘Romeo’ Dev!

    @ TBinSTL

My thoughts exactly! I would be more concerned about taking a hit from a .177 cal BB or pellet moving at 750fps, from a pneumatic gun that has no registration requirement, than this silly piece POS!

I guess this is just one more example of how the media preys upon the general public’s lack of ballistics knowledge. Very irresponsible reporting!
