Afghan Intel: Karzai Was Warned Of Assassination Plot
If this is true, why didn’t he stop it? Looks to me like this guy needs a new profession.
KABUL, Afghanistan - Afghanistan’s intelligence chief says he warned the president of a weekend assassination plot against him.
Amrullah Saleh told Parliament on Tuesday that the plot to kill President Hamid Karzai was hatched last month. He said the gunmen had rented the room they opened fire from 45 days before the attack.
Karzai and other dignitaries escaped unharmed from Sunday’s assault launched during a ceremony in Kabul. Taliban claimed responsibility. Three people died.
Saleh acknowledged it was a failure of the security services to stop the attack.

Ya think?
So Pres Karzai should order his schedule around the threats of terrorists? Nor share any of the risks that the Afgan’s and the coalition forces live with every day? Should he act like those politicians and journalists we hold in contempt by staying in relative safety of a “green zone”? He knowingly opened-up himself to danger and showed courage doing so. Thank God that He preserved Pres Karzai during the attack. May He continue to do so and increase his wisdom and how he governs.
