Not allowing a member of the military who has served their country to accept a gift of merit and gratitude over 20 dollars is assinine.

Couldn’t they just make them for those who are no longer in the services who served in Iraq and keep the offer open indefinately for those who have yet to retire? A production to cover each and every person who served in Iraq and hold them until they are able to claim them. Seems like a simple solution to me.

Don’t like the pencil pusher who is preventing this great program but I hope they find a way (any way) to still provide these knives to our honored vets.

Guess they ought to throw those soldiers I bought lap dances for just before they deployed a couple of months back in the brig for accepting a gift that was too valuable.

This pencil pusher is an ass! The rule about $20 he’s talking about is not supposed to apply to private citizens giving gifts of thanks and support (if it did, we wouldn’t be able to do the shoe-box thing). Frackin’ idiot. Dept. of the Navy needs to correct this ASAP. Don’t worry, if I don’t here a correction by Tuesday, I’ll be sure to mention it to Sen. Cornyn when I meet with him on Tuesday. These boys may not be Texans but they’re still OUR Seamen and Marines!
