A. S. Wise- VA
He’s one of those really BIG guys.
His uncle was/is the principle of the high school.
Both my older daughters did their “cheerleading” stint with our local pee-wee football team … and Mike played for them. So we watched him grow up.
Nice guy. Hope he has great success and a blast playing in the bigs …
He’s not the only one from our high school to get into the pros.
Jeff Wilkins was a kicker for The Rams …

My HS has so far only sent one to the NFL, Barty Smith. My Latin teacher used to reminisce about playing sports with him Heh, sometimes if we wanted to stall that teacher, we would ask him about his days playing with Barty!

You can’t throw a stone in Austintown without hitting a McGlynn. But I’ll have to ask my girls about “Watson” …
Hey, you never answered me days ago … You have a Flexband gym?
April 27th, 2008 at 6:40 pmDrill
Did not see your post. No, I don’t have a gym but I work with some of the high schools in the area have spent many, many hours, days on the raod with Hartzell learning the trade, so to speak. Been to Parris Island, Little Creek, OSU, MSU, UofM, WVU to name a few.

My oldest daughter got a couple injuries playing school and Junior Olympic volleyball.
She worked with Dick Hartzell at his gym on the northside to rehab back. The high school volleyball and football, and I think the baseball, teams all used the bands for keeping strong.
I really need to dig out the girls’ bands and start using them myself. I hate exercising. My neighbor lady goes down to his gym several days a week. I’d go with her but the time she goes I’m getting my little one ready for school and the bus.
April 27th, 2008 at 6:58 pmDrill,
What a hoot. Up until about a month ago I was going regularly to the JS gym for the adult fitness program. There is one at least one lady in there from A-Town. Been working with the WGH program for the past several months.
I started at the JS gym over 4 and half years ago and I am still at it. Never stuck with a training program such as this.
Hartzell is amazing, I have seen him work small miracles with those bands. He has a book out now, “Don’t Ice That Ankle Sprain”. I have “fixed” a number of ankle myself. Learned it all from Hartzell.

Hey, no excuse when summer gets here. lol
April 27th, 2008 at 7:19 pm0311inOHio (typical white person)
Yeah … Yeah … Yeah …
Hey, next time you see her mention her “neighbor across the street” ..
She doesn’t know me as Maggie, though … It’s that ‘other’ nickname from Margaret popular in the 1950s that she calls me by …
Nice lady. Lost her husband not long ago. Very sudden.
Good people.
Small world!
NOW we WILL have to meet for that beer, eh??? HEH!!
April 27th, 2008 at 7:25 pmDrill,
I will have to make it a point to get there, I haven’t seen her for a couple of months, still working out but not there, to busy to get to A-Town, but when I do I will tell her that I have a spy in her neighborhood. It will drive her nuts. lol
Yeah, to bad about her husband. A couple of years ago he sold his motorcycle on E Bay to a Marine from Camp LeJeune, N.C. He and his wife drove up in a pick up truck to get it and she was so impressed with the two of them that she could not stop talking about them.
Sounds good… let me know.. drop me an email, as I can’t keep up with all of your posts.. I get confused real easy because of my advancing age..
Got to get to bed.. Look forward to reading about the broadcast.
April 27th, 2008 at 7:39 pmI surely will … `night!
April 27th, 2008 at 7:54 pmoh shit, the monkeys are catching up….
pretty soon that wild man of borneo will have guilt for his taking of the fish and disturbing the beauty of gaia, for his use of trees to build a bed, for his methane emissions; soon that beast will have to find a orangutan goracle to help him with his shame of consumption
April 27th, 2008 at 8:26 pmSteve in NC
Yeah, but in the meantime the democrats are hastily trying to figure out a way to get them voting status …
April 27th, 2008 at 8:31 pmand I bet that orangutan can work a voting machine better than the residents of south florida
