Can someone please explain to me when it became the governments job to bail businesses and private citizens out? I was taught in school that the government collected taxes to maintain a national military and to keep the road ways in working order mainly for the purpose of moving our military about. We citizens just benefited from the road way part.

School were suppose to be funded by the states. But I can see federal funding of schools if the curriculum was set straight across for all states and the standards raised not lower so everyone feels good about it.

Why in the hell should my tax money go to anything but national security FIRST and FOREMOST?

Any time a democRat starts throwing out numbers it means they are obfuscating. They never put the numbers in perspective. Raw dollars today mean nothing compared to raw dollars of the past. Bush put it in perspective. Percentages are what gives the numbers perspective. During WWII, we were spending about 25% of the GDP on the war. Were Republicans clamoring for a withdrawal and a time-table for bringing the troops home? Hell, no. The patriots that were my parents’ generation knew they HAD TO WIN at all costs. Victory was what mattered. Screw Harry Reid and his lame party.

With all the evidence:
1. the documentation of Saddam’s rule by terror;
2. the recently released joint Israeli/US report about Israel’s raid into Syria against Iraq’s WMD (which had been moved there prior to the war);
3. President Clinton’s stating in 1998 that it regime change in Iraq was official US policy;
4. the many links to prominent Democrats sounding the alarm on Iraq’s WMD;
5. The original congressional declaration asserting our right to commence the war;
6. and the recently translated/declassified reports on Saddam’s links with Al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations…

How can any on the left keep a straight face when calling it “Bush’s War”?

B. Or, if you have one of the 188,251 homes in New Orleans, your were supposed to get $1,329,787.00 for repairs.

C. Or, if you are a family of four, your family would it have gotten $2,066,012.00

Washington, D.C .. HELLO!!! … Are all your calculators broken?? (No one got anything, and they never rebuilt New Orleans)
