Evacuations As Calif. Wildfire Creeps Closer
Hope to God the get it contained quickly without any harm to property and the brave fire and police men handling the situation there. The photo is actually the view from my yard of the last devastating fires here in San Diego. Excuse the shakiness, in the picture, it was very spooky. Here in California we take the wild fire issues VERY seriously.
SIERRA MADRE, Calif. - Fire officials say another round of evacuations is under way for residents in the foothills near Pasadena as a wildfire continues to burn out of control.
Elisa Weaver of the Arcadia Fire Department says 200 hundred homes were evacuated Saturday night and residents from 100 other properties were being told to leave Sunday.
The wildfire is burning its way through about 350 acres of dense brush near Sierra Madre, a San Gabriel Mountains foothill community of about 11,000.
Weaver says the fire is about 5 percent contained.

Got the scanner going. We’ve got another fire going in the Ramona area, Calfire and Heartland pulling all the stops to get on this one.
Hope they stomp this in a hurry, same basic area the Cedar Fires from 03 started in.

It might be a bad year. It was 95-97 degress today in the inland valleys of the county. Not good.
Last year was unreal.
