Okay, okay, I know way back when, when the flame thrower was developed, it was intended mainly for clearing foliage, particularly in the Pacific islands during WWII. But did you ever think to yourself, knowing what the other applications CAN be, “Hmmm, what kind of mind came up with THAT shit?”

The flame thrower was designed to clear obstacles such as pill boxes and bunkers. It was used in WWI by Germans as a shock weapon against allied troops. It was never designed for anything else but killing the enemy.

Mechanized flamethrowers do work and work quite well( Think 713th Tank BN at Okinawa)
