Iran On Nukes: We’ll Sort It All Out With Russia
TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iranian state media says the country is discussing a package of proposals with Russia aimed at defusing international concerns that Iran is using its nuclear program as a cover for weapons development.
State television and the official Iranian news agency IRNA have quoted Iran’s top nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili as saying Monday the package includes “serious proposals,” but without providing further details.
Iran has denied pursuing nuclear weapons, saying its program is geared toward generating electricity.
Russia has been a key ally to Iran in its nuclear standoff with the West but has also voted in favor of three rounds of U.N. Security Council sanctions against Iran for its failure to suspend uranium enrichment.
Time is running out. The longer we wait to take out the entire program in Iran the more Russians will be in place and are likely to get killed. Not that I care, but it will be less crap to sort out after Iran’s government, military and nuclear program are done away with.
April 28th, 2008 at 3:46 amPutin is such a snake. Bush must have been smoking crack when he claimed that he looked into his eyes and felt he could trust him (or something to that effect). One look at this character and you know he is like a crocodile just waiting to eat his prey.
April 28th, 2008 at 3:49 amOld Sailor, “just waiting to eat his prey”, hopefully the prey is Iran. There was a story floating around at the time they took over our embassy. They were also about to take the then Soviet Embassy and the Soviets told them that they would vaporize their city if they did. They took our Embassy but backed off on taking the Soviet Embassy.

April 28th, 2008 at 5:09 amLike John C. says, “Russians will be in place and are likely to get killed”.
This will tie our hands when it comes time to bomb those nuke sites. Just like in Nam when we didn’t dare bomb the North’s airfields. Our only hope is that Israel will have the balls to do the job for us.
The Russians always position themselves with our adversaries, it seldom makes any difference as the also always LOSE!
April 28th, 2008 at 6:47 amEver wonder what the real scoop on Putin is? See the new book, “Comrade J”, he details a bit about how Putin was considered a thug and dissed by the hard core KGB…
