McCain Defends Marine Corps And U.S. Flag
Jeremiah Wright equated United States Marines stationed around the world to Roman Legionnaires who “Ridiculed and killed Jesus”…
And in defending his “America suffered 9/11 terrorism because we committed terrorism ourselves first” remarks, Wright said that America was just like Al Qaeda, just under a different flag.”
Hussein himself told Chris Wallace this weekend that the Jeremiah Wright spectacle is a “legitimate political issue” with him, thus opening the door for McCain to respond to Wright’s insane remarks.

I don’t want McCain going up against the Clinton machine because I fear Cankles will chew him up and spit him out. I just don’t see the fight in McCain that he would need against Cankles.
April 28th, 2008 at 3:57 pmJust a thought here…Is Johnny Mac holding his fire knowing that Hussein will be his eventual opponent so that he can use all this against him in the general? Is he letting the Hill-beast do his dirty work for him? Is he capable of such a subtle approach to campaigning? If he doesn’t get in on the act now, he can make the case that its fresh and new when the time comes.
I honestly don’t think he’s really a tough enough partisan fighter to pull that off but maybe his people will read this and spin it that way. I just think he doesn’t have the stomach for fighting his opponents unless they are in his own party. He really needs to shit or get off the pot.

Mostly I think of them as the guys who beat the barbarians in Germania when Maximus was their general and Marcus Aurelius was Caesar before Commodus killed him and tried to kill Maximus but he got away and…well, okay, all I really know about the Roman Legion I learned from watching Gladiator. And I think they were the good guys in that movie. Strength and Honor! Which does sounds kind of Marine-ish. So maybe the Rev’s got a point…or something.

The sacrifice that my husband and hundreds of thousands more have paid for in blood… profusely shed… for his right to to yell from a bully pulpit… God Damn America… feels trodden upon like a filthy rag. Well that infuriates me.
