“Father” needs to STFU. These barracks are in great shape compared to the old wood-framed, WWII barracks we were in at NTC, San Diego.
Besides, the barracks are/were in a state of repair when the troops arrived…apparently a bit before the contractors were finished.

If those barracks had bathrooms full of shit and piss and gases leaking from the pipes too, then maybe y’all should’ve raised hell. If not for those things, I’d say boo-fuckin-hoo also.
Marines, I know, get shitty barracks all the time, but because they keep them up (when they’re not being wild and accidentaly breaking shit) they remain usable.
We were told the barracks we stayed in for Corrections school at Lackland AFB was actually condemed by the Airforce. Now, it was shitty, but apparently we’d made whatever necessary changes and it was livable.
But, if what the Capt. says is true, maybe the father acted to quickly.

Agreed, the barrack’s sewage system is obscene, but there should never have been any troops allowed to occupy them in that condition. For that, I blame the MAA for assigning the barrack rooms. They simply aren’t livable, and are probably a health hazard as well. It doesn’t excuse the father. His “hit-piece” was over the top, and completely un-nessessary.

These videos are necessary to get the ball rolling. We ask our troops to live in shit when theyre overseas but they shouldnt live like that when theyre home. Good looking out dad.
