NEW Jeremiah Wright Video: Excerpt From Moyers Interview
The infamous Reverend Jeremiah Wright…This is a clip from an interview that will be shown tomorrow night on PBS’ Bill Moyers Journal. This is the first interview Wright has given since he was exposed…
Bill Moyers, yeah thats what you call ‘friendly territory’.
Rev. Wrong, you can speak in the most subtle tone ever heard on planet earth and try to blame whoever you want for taking you out of context all you want to, we’re not buying what you’re selling.
saying he is bringing the word of God to people. yeah im sure God appreciated him saying “its not God Bless America, its God D*** America”. or saying “the chickens have finally come home to roost”
and i especially liked the part where he said what Obama said about him went over easily because B-HO is a politician and he is a pastor and he has to say what he has to say. which is code word for ‘what Obama said meant nothing’.
April 24th, 2008 at 5:41 pmSo Wright’s expectation is that Obama isn’t going to tell the truth - and he’s OK with that (and that’s granting that Wright thinks *he* is speaking the truth). Disgusting.
April 24th, 2008 at 5:47 pmI’ve NEVER heard complete and extensive speeches of Hitler … (nor have I ever read his book, Mein Kampf) … but from the translated “soundbites” I HAVE heard/seen … I have gotten a pretty good idea of what/how he was thinking.
BTW, it is said Hitler did “good works” too …
April 24th, 2008 at 5:52 pm“What did you think when you heard those, brief…brief sound bites circulating…?” What kind of a question is that? It sounds like he’s on Wright’s side!
April 24th, 2008 at 5:55 pmEchelon
its Moyers, and from what i heard he is very much on Wrights side. my opinion but it sure sounded like it.
April 24th, 2008 at 5:59 pm…so, we can say any racist pugnatious BS we want and when taken to task for it, claim it was taken out of context.
…as long as we’re a democrat.
Nice softballs Moyers.
April 24th, 2008 at 6:05 pmOur tax dollars at work.
What Gospel of Jesus Christ Rev. Wright? The part about “God Damn America?” Can you show me where you find that in the Bible. Perhaps you can correct God about His Covenant with those nasty Jews.
But if were wrong Rev. and we’ve taken you “out of context”, we would be glad to listen to your whole sermon series. In fact, I personally think it’s a great idea for all of us whiteys to get to listen to your “context.” Just what the doctor ordered.
Sounds to me like you’re puckering up a little Reverend Bigshot. Tsk tsk. Life gets a little tougher when you get out of you black liberation pulpit, doesn’t it Jeremiah?
O.J. in a priestly robe…King Herod, more like.
April 24th, 2008 at 8:17 pmhe’s one slick bastard, everything he says is true at face value, but one must always read between the lines.
“I say what i need to say as a pastor”
and “he says what he needs to as a politician”
“we both speak to different audiences”
As a pastor he speaks to protect his congregation NOT AS HIMSELF. As a politician barak speaks to protect HIS IMAGE.
Lying to that end is perfectly acceptable as history has shown.
They speak with the same deceitful manner and intent.
April 24th, 2008 at 8:21 pmthe pubic (sic) bull shit network does what it can to make sure the only untolerated bigotry comes from white (conservative) people. I saw a “soundbite ” that lasted well over 10 minutes , but who’s counting really! amazingly , the yahoo article today never mentions his accusation that the american government unleashed the aids epidemic on black people, and yet this a**hole
said it was unfair that he was being portrayed as a fanatic and his church a cult? Any “church” that gives into unfounded conspiracy theories is looney in my book.
“Asked about Obama’s criticisms of him, Wright said it was understandable given that Obama is a politician with a different audience.
“He says what he has to say as a politician. I say what I have to say as a pastor. But they’re two different worlds,” he said, adding that he and Obama did not discuss politics.”
meaning: he lies when it is politically expedient, and I tell my congregation what I think they want to hear in order to foment anger and anarchy. But hey, dont judge me harshly! I dont doubt you do good things for black people everyday and hide your disdain for whites who fawn all over you out of fear that criticism will be taken as racism.
If you can stand up in front of friendly audience and spew hatefilled allegations as an authority, why cant you be a man and accept that some people might not like it?
The KKK says: the black man is a criminal. Reaction :outrage, condemnation of the big bad white oppressor
Jeremiah Wright says : the white man is evil. Reaction: apologetics and pity for the poor oppressed minority.
No wonder you think equality has not been reached, you treat yourself as inferior.
I have an african woman friedn who was invited to wrights “church” when she was attending the university of chicago, and i asked her what she though of “rev” wright and she said this:
” Honestly, the man is a great preacher but I dont know him much to discuss what happened. But I do think he went a bit too far that day”
Her experience was on an ordinary sunday, yet she is reluctant to discuss the details but admits he “went too far”. doesnt that speak volumes to the type of messages that came from this mans mouth at least every sunday?
