No Walking The Plank For Pirated Crew
MADRID, Spain - The Spanish government says the crew of a fishing boat hijacked by pirates off the coast of Somalia has been freed.
Deputy Prime Minister Maria Teresa Fernandez de la Vega says the 26 crew members onboard the 250-foot vessel from Spain’s Basque region are sailing back home.
De la Vega says the release was achieved through negotiation. She said Saturday that the ship’s owners and the Spanish government collaborated to find a successful end to the hijacking.

Thats what im wondering. you know they didnt just let them go.
April 26th, 2008 at 9:46 am@Kurt my brother,
Yeppirs, everyone else that got their hijacked crews back, paid ransom or were rescued…Taking hostages and holding them for ransom is a Muslim tardition. Of course, we already knew that.
April 26th, 2008 at 9:55 amSame difference I’m sure back home in Spain. Were they to try and arm their vessel (if they could), some gun-grabbing group and their ‘barbary’ lawyers would be taking them to court over it.
April 26th, 2008 at 10:08 amI have a simple suggestion here, we should start shooting them and giving them a water burial. they are pirates, nobody will even know they are gone.
Dan
its a tradition because these limp wristed governments keep paying it, start sending them to davey jones’ locker and they will stop the practice of piracy pretty damn quick man i wish i could be the gunner on a ship. maybe the US should start patrolling those waters with decoy ships even, just like the cops do with hooker sting operations. just cruise around until they grab the bait, open up those .50’s and end this shit
