The image is a bit fuzzy on my screen, but it looked as if Bush was having some trouble maintaining his composure.
RIP, Michael Monsoor.
April 8th, 2008 at 11:54 amWe are blessed nation to have been graced with Michael Monsoor.
Never take what he has given us for granted.
April 8th, 2008 at 12:19 pmThe Man had tears in his eyes and a deep choke in his voice as his heart swelled.
I can take the antiwar crap … but when they insinuate that this man has carelessly and mindlessly sent these men and women off to war and doesn’t care about their deaths and wounds I just want to tear them limb from limb …
You are one of God’s ’soldiers’ now, and under the command of St. Michael … We’ll be needing you … Stand by …
April 8th, 2008 at 12:21 pmAnd once again the pathetic man-child who calls himself Commander-in-Chief puffs his chest as he stands on one more fallen soldier to desperately justify his contrived, ineptly managed “war.”
I suppose this qualifies as “inane leftist drivel” you don’t have the guts to publish. The epitome of irony while associating yourself with the courage of a fallen soldier.
April 8th, 2008 at 12:29 pmWe have a great President and great troops. None better anywhere.
Code Pinko and their ilk could NEVER, in their wildest dreams, ever aspire to such a high honor. Because they are gutless whiners who have no courage and selfish children who are incapable of understanding the meaning of sacrifice.
God Bless Michael and his family. This family’s sacrifice is not unnoticed by God.
April 8th, 2008 at 12:31 pm“…..above and beyond…….”
YES
April 8th, 2008 at 12:39 pmWe are diminished. Rest In Peace, Shipmate.
April 8th, 2008 at 12:46 pmRIP Michael Monsoor…………God bless your family
I will miss having a President who is so genuine as Bush.
I believe Senator John McCain was seated in the front row.
April 8th, 2008 at 12:48 pmHoorah
April 8th, 2008 at 12:58 pm“…under the command of St. Michael…We’ll be needing you…Stand by…”
Indeed sister.
April 8th, 2008 at 1:00 pmYou show your utter lack of respect for the truth, as Leftists usually do. It is obvious that Bush cares for the fallen soldiers and their families, and your stupid remark deserves a swift kick and perhaps more.
April 8th, 2008 at 1:08 pmMax,
You show your utter lack of respect for the truth, as Rightists usually do. Another post noted: “…because they are gutless whiners who have no courage and selfish children who are incapable of understanding the meaning of sacrifice.” That, if you will check your recent history, is what George W. represented during his formative years. Can you remember the famous quote: “United we stand; divided we fall!” This nation has never been so divided, and it has ALL occurred during the tenure of this monster in the Whitehouse. I pray every day that we will somehow find the responsibility and integrity to GET OVER IT, and get on with what this country is SUPPOSED to stand for: Peace, Equality, and all the other good things we espouse but don’t practice. Witness in this very presentation from CNN: there are three photos in the posted article, and the person supposedly honored is the THIRD photo. That is disgusting to me. Michael Monsoor’s photo should have been #1, #2 AND #3.
April 8th, 2008 at 1:37 pmONLY someone such as your lowly self would use THIS thread to bust your way in here and start pissing and daring everyone to beat the hell out of you for it …
You know NOTHING … and by that, you are NOTHING … except a blood thirsty leech.
DO NOT delete this idiot’s “drivel” …
It IS a fine example of exactly who/what the “left” is and isn’t.
If you feel the need to remove it from this thread, like so much dog crap that it is … Move it to Deep Thoughts … because that is as deep as this scum can get.
April 8th, 2008 at 1:50 pmI will forever be in Michael Monsoor’s debt. My heart aches with his parents and family members. That Rich guy has such a total lack of respect that I wish he could experience what it is like to be stripped of his freedom.
April 8th, 2008 at 1:56 pmThen, come and live in my adopted country, the U.S. of A.
Job well done Sir! God keep you and bless your family.
April 8th, 2008 at 2:00 pmAll you sick Leftist fucks pick a different story to start a political fight on then one about a fallen American hero. At most I can thank you for showing the true colors of your sick fuck cowardly-ass never-served selves - - you have provided a microcosm of the essence of what has been wrong with the Left’s mindset since this war began. To you, the war and the dead mean nothing but politics. Go back to your kiddie-porn.
April 8th, 2008 at 2:18 pmI just got back to my hotel from the White House. What an honor to be among my men and to finally see my brother receive our Nations highest award. It was a very special occasion and I am proud to have served with Mike and the men of Seal Team Three and the 1/506 PIR.
President Bush was in fact very genuine. He honored Mike Monsoor in a way that I can’t even relate in words myself. At the end of his speach he did get choked up and during the reading of the citation, tears were going down his face…for a person 5 feet from him, it felt VERY GENUINE.
On his way out, eyes still filled with water he paused, turned to our row and said, “Thank you for your service”. I am honored to serve our country and honored to serve under him as my Commander In Chief.
ALL: Let’s keep politics out of this, and just honor a man who has paid the ultimate sacrafice. Thank you.
April 8th, 2008 at 2:26 pmThank God we have people in this world like Michael Monsoor. I wish his family my deepest condolence’s, but take comfort in knowing the fact that while there are those foamy mouth jack ass leftist, their son was not one. And that he knew that there was something bigger in this world than him self and stepped up when others backed down.
April 8th, 2008 at 2:32 pmThanks
April 8th, 2008 at 2:34 pmAmen …
And THANK YOU so much for your service.
Honored you’re here with us.
April 8th, 2008 at 2:35 pmTo Rich-did you HAVE to choose THIS story to complain about?
We should have kept this non political, and to just pay tribute to a real hero. To the family and friends of Monsoor I am so sorry for you
I liked the line “he looked death in the face and said leave my brothers, i’ll go in their stead” I cried at that.
April 8th, 2008 at 2:37 pmthere is no greater love than that a man would lay down his life so that others might live.
Michael Monsoor has truly touched the hand of God.
May he rest in peace and may Perpetual Light shine upon him.
April 8th, 2008 at 2:49 pmAmen
thanks Pat, was building a rant up, you hit it.
Navy SEAL
April 8th, 2008 at 3:18 pmMay God always bless the parents of Michael Monsoor, you have so much to be proud of. You raised a Navy SEAL, one who put his own life above others.
RIP Michael Monsoor
Thanks Pat. you always show your true colors as well. Red white and blue.
As for Rich. im glad your comment was allowed to stay. its a reminder to all of us why we’re not Democrats. you rude ungrateful bastard.
April 8th, 2008 at 3:45 pmNavy SEAL Michael Monsoor’s actions were entirely selfless, heroic, and will never be forgotten. He did not die in vain. There is no way to speak of warriors like him without tears. Rest in Peace.
Thoughts and prayers to his family, fellow SEALs, and friends.
Thank you for your service.
April 8th, 2008 at 4:07 pmGodspeed, Petty Officer Monsoor.
April 8th, 2008 at 4:09 pmTrue hero, God bless!
April 8th, 2008 at 4:09 pmI’m sure it’s such a coincidence that “left” in Latin means “sinister.”
Rich can go pound sand with his saddle buddies on Brokeback Mountain.
The President can’t even pay his respects to a fallen hero without some libtard taking cheap shots.
No class, Rich. No class at all.
April 8th, 2008 at 4:28 pmPat, do you have a link for the vid? I’d like to post it on my post about Mike.

April 8th, 2008 at 6:32 pmGreater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13.
But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13
This day, Michael Monsoor, is about what you did for your compatriots, and recognition for your sacrifice. And in a greater sense, for all of us. And to your parents, thank you for giving your son to us and raising him the way you did. Thank you.
April 8th, 2008 at 8:08 pmI am in awe of the courage and patriotism of Michael Monsoor and his family. God Bless You. Michael, say hello to my sister for me. I look forward to meeting you in heaven.
