Thank God I wasn’t born early enough to live through his administration. I don’t know how America survived during that time.
April 10th, 2008 at 8:59 pmThere’s nothing “naive” about that peanut farmer, he’s so old he farts dust and he’s lost his fucking mind.
Alzheimers is sure a bitch eh, Jimmy?
April 10th, 2008 at 9:00 pmFuckin dems.
April 10th, 2008 at 9:02 pmWell i dont know about alzheimers but hes definitely not naive. he knows what he is doing. why would a former US president go to Syria to talk to an exiled hamas leader? anyone?
i call that openly undermining our war effort and Israels. the propaganda that will come from this trip will be unmeasurable.
April 10th, 2008 at 9:25 pmBe interesting to see who, if any, show up at his funeral. Can’t be too far away, but then it will be just our luck he’ll live until his nineties. How old was his mother when she died?

April 11th, 2008 at 12:42 amWe almost didn’t, here in Montana when he was president the only functional businesses were U-haul and the moving companies. The military was downsized to the max and the real accomplishment of his administration was the formation of the current political power structure in Egypt and Iran.
Got the Ayatollah to replace the Shah and Got Sadat shot for signing the camp david peace accord.
At home, to save energy, he put us on daylight saving time in winter to save energy. The first morning it went into effect bunches of kids were hit by cars at bus stops across the country in the dark early morning hours.
(I have to stop I’m getting depressed) and so much more.
A.S. Wise: I was alive during the Carter years. I was a teenager in high school and couldn’t find a part time job if my life depended on it. When people whine about the economy now, I just roll my eyes. Probably the same way my mother (who lived through the depression) did when I complained in the 70’s. I always say, at 18 year’s old when Reagan was sworn in and Iran released the hostages, that stamped me a Republican for life.
April 11th, 2008 at 3:10 amJimmy Carter was the original blame America first president. Maybe he’s planning to make amends and go out into the adoring Palestinian crowd as a suicide bomber. But, as with most of his endeavors it would probably be a dud!
April 11th, 2008 at 3:20 amCarter should be made to go alone…no Secret Service detail.
April 11th, 2008 at 3:28 ampull his passport, he is an enemy of the United States.
April 11th, 2008 at 4:03 amIt is within reason to arrest the man. Then arrest any other possible traitors, Reid, Pelosi, Durbin, etc,…that travel to the region.
April 11th, 2008 at 4:18 am@Steve & Mike
I agree with both of you 100%. (I also think anyone that goes to the level that Carter goes to should not be allowed back in the country that he is so subversive of. Let him stay with Hamas! Good riddance.)
April 11th, 2008 at 4:58 amCarter should be arrested. This is illegal activity. Doesn’t the rule of law apply to private citizens?
April 11th, 2008 at 5:02 am“Naive, Irresponsible, Dangerous” are exactly the words I would use to describe his presidency.
I know this lable often gets misused, but I truly believe Carter is an anti-Semite.
…Just my opinion.
April 11th, 2008 at 5:04 amIs this like meeting with the Nazi’s, privately, during WWII ? This clearly illustrates how treasonous behavior by Democrat’s continue to harm the USA. Carter did enough to damage this country during his presidency.
April 11th, 2008 at 5:06 amFunny you should mention nazis. kennedy’s father, joe, while Ambassador to England was known to say that the US could do business with a nazi Europe. Kennedy, himself, when Reagan was running for his second term tried to do a behind Reagan’s back a negotiation with the communists because he didn’t think Reagan would be re-elected. This was found out when the KGB and CIA were able to compare notes after the wall came down in Berlin in ‘89.
April 11th, 2008 at 5:14 amTO, funny you should mention nazis. kennedy’s father, joe, while Ambassador to England was known to say that the US could do business with a nazi Europe. April 11th, 2008 at 5:16 amBirds of a feather flock together. Maybe the peanut farmer HAS actually read Hamas’s charter and agrees with it.
From Article 13 of the Hamas Charter:
“Peace] initiatives, the so-called peaceful solutions, and the international conferences to resolve the Palestinian problem, are all contrary to the beliefs of the Islamic Resistance Movement.”
Peanut-head knows exactly what he’s doing. That’s why he should be soundly condemned for his trechery.
April 11th, 2008 at 5:40 amFirst, a couple of members on the board of his (foundation or even presidential library) resigned over his anti-Jewish remarks in a book he wrote. I don’t exactly remember this.
Second, I was in my early twenties during his administration. He caused a mass exodos from the Dems to the GOP of solid citizens particularly in the South. Now here is Louisiana the economy was very good due the oil industry boom. The Panama Canal was given away by Carter, the Shah was deposed due his lack of support, and now the world is in deep shit due his horrendous naivety.
I think that his campaign song was Kumbaya.
April 11th, 2008 at 6:41 amI was a kid during the Carter administration and all I can remember is the Iranian hostage crisis, the failed US rescue, yellow ribbons, “F” the Ayatollah T-shirts, two and three mile long gas lines, Billy Beer and peanut farms.
I remember there was much rejoicing when Regan was elected and the hostages released. America was ready to “walk softly and carry a big stick” instead of being a complete embarrassment to the world under Carter.
I think Zell Miller ought to challenge Jimmy Carter to a dual.
April 11th, 2008 at 7:05 amwhat do u expect fm the party of kerry who did the same thing.. dummyrats are dummyrats and not U.S. citizens.. car loans during the carter reign of horror was 25%, home loans were 15% and gas went aloft, islamist facism took off with the attack and capture or our embassy, and the illegal holding of our citizens… and now the dummuyrats want hildabeast or odumba to lead??????
April 11th, 2008 at 9:56 amI was a young man when this inept Mr Carter became President. Thanks to him we had almost 20% interest/huge inflation, giving up the Panama Canal, a fuel shortage from the corrupt Arabs, the Iranians take over of our embassy, and the brave attempt but poor planning by Carter the rescue of the hostages. And the far corrupt left loons say that President Bush is the worst President! We all know who is the WORST PRESIDENT IN HISTORY…I give you a hint! Peanut Farmer
