The prosperity gospel is another wolf-in-sheep’s -clothing excercise in Elmer Gantry-ism.

While these carnival-barkers dominate Christian TV, they don’t dominate Christian radio. Thankfully, there are still a few EV Hills around…such as Tony Evans.

It’s true that whitey has bought into ML King’s message and many black people have not. However, thanks to the EV Hills of the world and the real JC…that’s beginning to change.

Trying to distill it down to just these two branches is not doing justice to what is really out there. Trying to place King and Wright in the same cubbyhole for convenience sake illustrates the sophomoric and unsophisticated analysis inherent in this sort of article. Some things just can’t be “dumbed down” enough to run on CNN.

If the “Reverend” Jeremiah Wright is prophetic, it is the false type. Consider the scripture:

1st John Chapter 4:20-21

If anyone says, “I love God,” yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.

You Reverend Wright are a hatemonger, yet live a life of prosperity, including a 10,000 sq foot house. Guess you wanted the best of both false worlds.
