Iran wants to do the same damage in a moment that Germany did over the course of several years. They want to kill 6 million Jews and we have to be the ones to stop them. The destruction of Israel will not happen and Iran needs to understand that.

That’s all we owed them according to many people. It’s ideology to think that we’d willingly fight a war to protect the Jews again, I mean they have their own homeland, etc. Plus there would be huge opposition to another war in the Middle East from the hippies. Something that no politician will willingly incur.
