Exclusive Brothers at War Update:
The World Premiere of Brothers at War was a smash success! Brothers at War was awarded GI Film Festival Best Feature Documentary 2008. Among those who gave a standing ovation to the film were General George and Sheila Casey (current Army Chief of Staff, and Commanding General, Multi-National Forces Iraq from 2004-2007), Robert Duvall and his lovely wife, and a number of leaders of both active duty and veterans groups. All took the time to tell me how much the film meant to them and pledged their support. As G. Gordan Liddy pointed out while interviewing me earlier this week on Radio America, the artistic committee which voted unanimously to give us this award is made up of industry experts in both feature film and documentary filmmaking. To listen to that full interview log on to http://www.radioamerica.org/POD_ggl.htm, it was recorded live on Wednesday morning, and may rerun on Memorial Day. They have asked me to come back and are working to schedule an interview with Michael Reagan on his talk show when I am in Los Angeles next week. Fox News with Shepherd Smith played clips from Brothers at War, and highlights from the World Premiere yesterday while interviewing Brandon Millet, President of the GI Film Festival. Go to gifilmfestival.com to see clips from the festival and our World Premiere.

Midwest Premiere of Brothers at War:
On June 12th, Brothers at War will have its Midwest Premiere presented by Gary Sinise at the Avon Theater, in downtown Decatur , IL . Kevin Breheny created a committee, lined up the sponsorship support of St. Mary Hospital, Continental Carbonic Products, Inc., Family Visiting Nurses, and JL Hubbard Insurance & Bonds, and led marketing efforts so successful this event sold out by 2 PM the day after it was announced! The $100 VIP tickets and $20 general admission tickets will raise a considerable sum for two deserving charities, The Oasis Day Center, and Operation Support Our Troops-Illinois. The 703 tickets went so quickly, that the committee is already beginning to plan another event when the film opens in Decatur , IL later this summer! I have attached the press release to this email. Metanoia Films is delighted that they could help raise so much money for two veterans’ causes!
We are now entering the phase of this project where your support can make a significant impact on the success of the project. Thank you to all who have promoted the website, and encouraged their friends to sign up. A special thank you to those who attended the World Premiere of Brothers at War!
We have momentum. Let’s do everything we can to increase it!

May 25th, 2008 at 9:01 pmKudos! My how we have needed a film like this no matter where the story leads. Let our men and women tell US what is going on there instead of the MSM. They have important stories to tell.
May 26th, 2008 at 6:51 am“These are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of his country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.”
– Thomas Paine (The American Crisis, No. 1, 19 December 1776)

It is good to see more and more independent pro troop films. I believe our Mr. Dollard is timing his release to be as close to the election as possible. Pat knows how short the attention span of the average American truly is. YA will be most effective if allowed to come into full bloom when the time is right. Pat will know exactly when that time is. Until them we anxiously await the release of YA.
