Christians And Muslims Clash In Egypt, One Killed
CAIRO - One Egyptian Muslim was killed and four Christians were wounded and on Saturday in a clash over disputed land near a Christian monastery in central Egypt, security sources said.
Muslim Khalil Mohammed, 39, was killed by gunfire, the sources said, speaking on condition of anonymity. At least two of the wounded Christians were monks at the monastery, the sources added.
The groups exchanged fire after Christians in the town of Mallawy, about 300 km (190 miles) south of Cairo, began constructing a wall around disputed land near the Abu Fana monastery, the sources said.
Muslims who believed the agricultural land belonged to them objected, triggering the exchange of fire.
Christians account for up to 10 percent of the population of Egypt and relations between them and the Muslim majority are usually harmonious. Disputes, most commonly over land, religious buildings or young women, sometimes lead to violence.
Fifteen people were injured and 35 detained last year in a nearby monastery in Minya province that also began over a land dispute.

By Quranic law, Christians must feel themselves subdued under Islam. They cannot build or repair churches or anything else w/o permission and agreement by Muslims. They are not part of the ubermenchen of the ulema. They are instead the “untermenchen” and are subject to the whims of anyone in the Ulema.
Wouldn’t want to be a Christian arrested in that society.
Crucifiction or the cutting of of limbs at opposite ends is the proscribed penalty for Christians who do not kow-tow to Islam.
Looks to me like the Arayans of Islam got a tad pissed when the Christians decided to do a little building. A few Christians grew a set and said:”f*ck you”.

Old Sailor:
I already posted several opinions on the issue. We all do not agree. But I’ve had my say…others theirs. I’m sticking to my view. See, unlike the Dhimoids or half-assed Conservatives, I will not “go along to get along”. I prefer being a rebel with a cause.
