The boy in the last scene is the jocky's son and has Cochlear Implants that were highlighted earlier during the most boring 4 hours in sports that precede the "most exciting two minutes in sports." While waiting for the horse and jockey to show up at the winners circle the commentators kept blathering and the camera shots kept cycling from owner to trainer to jocky's wife and son. During a shot of wife and boy when buxom mom was leaning forward and jumping in glee, the boy looked towards her and the announcer said "...and here you can see the implants we were talking about..." This led immediately to the funniest two minutes in sports at our derby party. I wish you had a few more minutes of this.
