Iranian Rocket Force?
May 31st, 2008 at 12:41 pmNope … Most were US launches … some from the late 1950’s - early 1960’s. Imagine John Glenn sitting on top of one of these beasts and wondering if it’s going to work or blow-up. Give a whole new perspective to “The Right Stuff”

My parents worked on the Delta rocket so I got to see some ‘home movies’ of various launches, both successes and failures. I recognized one in there.
I was probably being too kind to the Iranians. Their rockets have a long wooden stick at the end to help with guidance.
