I'm not one of these people, but it would appear that our inalienable rights to this, that and the other thing have provided rather fertile ground for people to exploit the system to perverse ends. The novelist Robert B. Parker addressed prostitution in one of the Spencer novels. His take was that although legalized prostitution (the whole consenting adults thing) might appear harmless and expedient on the surface, in actual fact it trains both men and women to regard the opposite sex as something vile to be exploited.
