Previous “Deep Thoughts”
6:18 A.M.
Been busy, busy, frickin’ busy. Just got up after a much-needed good night’s sleep, and hell, this could mean that if I keep this schedule up, I’m operating at much more normal hours which I really need to do.
So yeah, on the economic front things are looking up. Just got a much better than expected jobs report, we had GDP growth this last quarter, so no recession…they’re are so many people in the media establishment invested in the Left and bad news for the right and America, I know this as fact not theory, because I see the news wires every day, and it becomse so painfully obviously clear that they have a single agenda to do one thing: make things bad for the right. It’s really astounding. You should try slogging through this shit. It’s so obvious it’s disturbing. It’s enraging, but more importantly it’s disturbing because it shows something so wrong with the world, it shows such an attempt to pull it into bad directions, and shows such an unfair selection of information that people rely on to understand their world…

Red Ken’s fate is still unknown as the results for the London mayoral election won’t officially be announced until tonight. A conservative website had already declared it for Boris based on a lot of things which were fairly compelling but just not enough for me to run with, so I left that alone. I’ll dig around and keep tabs and announce the winner as soon as possible. It’s a pretty big deal, it will effect the whole direction of the country which as you know, just took a big step right.
6:34 A.M.
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - LSU quarterback Ryan Perrilloux has been dismissed from the team. Head coach Les Miles says that Perrilloux “didn’t fulfill his obligation as an LSU student-athlete.” He is declining additional comment.
LSU said Friday that Perrilloux is expected to finish out the spring semester at the school.
Perrilloux ran up against the law and team discipline with regularity at LSU. He was on the fringe of a counterfeiting investigation and was caught trying to enter a Baton Rouge casino with a false identification. That got him suspended all of last summer.
He also was involved in a fracas at a nightclub in November, but he was cleared of wrongdoing.

SENSATIONAL sightings of a flying HUMAN above the skies of Mexico could be true, says a paranormal expert.

Gotta love the Muslims. The endless drip, drip, drip of inhumanity, monstrosity, and evil:
SAN’A, Yemen (AP) - A local government official says a car bomb has killed or wounded dozens of worshippers at a mosque in northern Yemen.
The official says most of the victims were filing out of the Bin Salman mosque after Friday prayers in the city of Saada. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to media.
Saada lies about 124 miles north of Yemen’s capital, San’a. Thousands of people have been killed in the area since a Shiite Muslim rebellion erupted in June 2004.
The rebels have agreed to a cease-fire, but sporadic violence continues.

Meet a completely typical example of the mentality of the Left. Yes, inside la cabeza, they’re all like this, really.
9:38 P.M.
I would sooooo like to see Red Ken go down in flames… Sleep is good, Pat. You might find that you actually get more done if you spend more time sleeping. Now I’m going to turn off motherly mode and say I’m glad to see you back and hope you’re on the mend. You need to be in good shape for your next eye surgery and that must be coming up fairly soon???

May 2nd, 2008 at 6:48 amPat, when is the big one supposed to happen?
May 2nd, 2008 at 7:03 amEven with gas prices, I still don’t know anyone personally that’s struggling. Fact is, we have it pretty damn good here!
Laura (atypical white Canadian)
Gee whiz Laura, I’ve been told that all Canadians think America is the incarnation of the Devil, what gives?
6:34 A.M.
I won’t shed a tear at that, after the ass-whooping LSU gave us last fall. Probably Tech’s worst loss in a decade.
Glad Red Ken is out. Why is it that most of Western Europe has turned back, from the leftist destiny they were on just a couple of years ago?

That’s just our (very own) vocal looney left. I don’t know if you’ve heard about the big free speech fracaso that’s going on up here, but if it goes the ways it looks like it probably will I’m thinking about entering the lottery for a green card.

May 2nd, 2008 at 11:33 amI’ve spent enough time in Canada for work that I’ve watched a lot of Canadian TV and I have to say that the fact that anyone in Canada doesn’t hate the US is a miracle.
TBinSTL (just typical)
Ah…. you must have been watching the CBC! They are the official mouthpiece of the looney left, and paid for with my taxes, too! It doesn’t help that most of the Americans who are now citizens or permanent residents in Canada hate the US, too. And of course that there is so much self-hatred in the US.
Right after 9/11, there were US flags EVERYWHERE up here. Newspapers printed full-page US flags so people could cut them out and put them in their windows.

Ah, you must have been watching the CBC - that’s out state-funded looney left official mouthpiece. And an utter disgrace, makes me furious that my taxes pay for it
It doesn’t help that most US immigrants to Canada are leftists who hate the US, and that there are so many Americans who are so eager and willing to trash their own country. It emboldens our own looney left.
But you know, right after 9/11 all the newspapers printed whole page-sized American flags so people could cut them out and put them up in their windows. And they did, in massive numbers. There were American flags all over Canada in a show of solidarity and support.
May 2nd, 2008 at 11:55 amTrying to post a message…

Very weird. I’ve tried twice to reply to you and I hope it works this time.
Anyway, what I was trying to say is that you must have been watching the CBC - the state-funded mouthpiece of the looney left. It infuriates me that my taxes pay for their drivel.
Right after 9/ll all the newspapers in these parts printed full page-sized American flags so people could cut them out to put up in their windows. And we did, in massive numbers. There were American flags everywhere, in a show of support and solidarity.
I think it’s sort of like it is in the US - the looney left after very vocal and successful attention-seekers. But that doesn’t mean that they are the significant majority.
May 2nd, 2008 at 12:00 pmDon Cherry is the only sane Canadian I know of.
My favorite Canadian quote:
“Looks like you boys have been doing a bit of drinking, eh?”
It was said to me by an officer from Collingwood Ontario.

Sorry about all those multiple postings, guys. I hit the send button and they didn’t appear, just sent me back to Pat’s message at the top so I figured they’d wandered off somewhere into cyberspace. I’ll never do that again!

May 3rd, 2008 at 1:07 amPat,
Now this is rather rhetorical, but what the hell is it with vapid people constantly shrilling for Obama? I understand the appeal of jumping on the bandwagon, or that in today’s narcissistic culture people are too obsessed with trivial maters in life to look at the bigger picture, but what the hell is going on here?
A one-term senator from Illinois actually has a chance to take the Presidency of the Untied States? He’s served 3 years and two of those he’s been campaigning for President. Hell the only reason he got to be a senator is that Jeri Ryan scandal.
But this little twit makes me cringe for the future of America’s culture. I’m not worried about people of the Dollard Nation and their commitment to striving and achieving the best for America, but I’m worried about this proverbial mudslide of crap that we’re all swimming uphill against. This constant barrage of leftist group-think is assaulting the youth from every angle of pop culture…from cradle to grave… just look that this little wonder woman here: no concept of reality, no critical analysis, no thought process to contemplate…
Look at me I made a cute widdle song and totally bypassed all the known discrediting facts about this chump running for President…Yaaaaaayyyy…he’s hip…. yaaaaaayyyy…he’s young…yaaaaay…he’s an empty suit and has bigoted former homegrown terrorist friends…. oh wait.
I haven’t the slightest clue how you didn’t go insane in Hollywood being constantly surrounded by that kind of mentality. I think that I have it rough out here in the District, then I remind myself how lucky I am that I don’t live in LA.
