May 5th, 2008 at 3:14 pmPETA also happens to be against guide dogs. I would also assume that they are against companion dogs (and other suitable animals). I believe (though I am not certain) that they are opposed to keeping animals as pets. Probably some sort of exploitation.
I have raised more than a few guide dogs and seen the benefit of companion dogs for Alzheimer’s sufferers. While this is an argument from personal credulity, I simply cannot imagine anyone with an ounce of real human feeling in them ‘not only wanting to take these dogs away but actively working toward that end.
May 5th, 2008 at 3:27 pmI grant PETA members the courage of their convictions, but point out that their reason is clouded at best, completely gone at worst. I suspect, based on the positions they put forward, not the least with women like this, that they may have given up on reason alltogether, and some time ago. The organization is founded on sentiment, generally as an emotion, and that alone. I believe “animal sympathy” (not “sympathy with animals”) is the term, originating with Rousseau. PETA seems to have confused ‘feeling (i.e. having the emotion that I am) right’ with ‘being right’ and ‘feeling that this is wrong’ with ‘this is wrong’.
I suspect that this confusion is more widespread than we imagine.

Their bias is outrageous. This is, at best, one step up from Morton Downey Jr. or Jerry Springer interviewing some skinhead Klansman drug pushing gang-banger.
Everybody knows that PETA isn’t pro-animal; it’s anti-human. They’re no different than the anti-gunners who shit their pants when a shotgun goes off and want the planet to disarm because guns jar upon their nerves. Loretta Switt and Betty White combined have an IQ I could beat in two moves on a Scrabble board!

Screw PETA and spread the word of the reality of what they really stand for and do.
