I’ll have to try that out on “Flight Simulator X”
May 23rd, 2008 at 11:05 amI’d say he’s a damn good pilot. He knows his aircraft and what it’s limitations are.
May 23rd, 2008 at 11:28 amReminds me of a few landings flying on Reeves Aleutian. Some of the best pilots in the world flew for that airline in my opinion. I was onboard for more than a few hair raising landings.
May 23rd, 2008 at 11:57 am“Please make sure your tray tables are stowed, seats are in the up right positions and your assholes puckered because we’ll be TERFing on our way in to the runway.”
May 23rd, 2008 at 11:59 amJeez. I would have been scared to death during that landing. I would have been puckered so hole my ass probably would have taken a bite of the bite
May 23rd, 2008 at 1:03 pmtaken a bite of the seat*
where is the edit comments box at??
May 23rd, 2008 at 1:03 pmAnd he put the mains right down on the numbers. Thats nice work. FSX here I come.
May 23rd, 2008 at 2:06 pmAmerican Airlines. Highly likely the aircrew was Air Force or Navy trained. The best there is. I’d fly anywhere with those guys.
Boeing 767. Beautiful bird, American made.
Same plane those camel-jockeys flew into the twin-towers.
May 23rd, 2008 at 3:01 pmI’ve watched that several times before (no sound?). Toncontin Airport in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Too bad Kai Tak AP closed in Hong Kong… or maybe not.
Charles. Unless it is just my computer, you can here the pilot adjusting the throttles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-B4QCb2NhI.
May 23rd, 2008 at 5:52 pm^^^ Sorry I just checked the link and it isn’t working.
May 23rd, 2008 at 6:24 pmThere is the same video with sound if you search YT’s files under “Toncontin Airport/757″ , and you can HEAR the engines.
As if the approach wasn’t tricky enough, it looked like they were running out of runway real quick - notice the full flaps and reverse thrust at the end I’ll bet the pilots don’t want to fly that flight more than once a week
May 23rd, 2008 at 8:14 pmThe pilot is probably ex-Navy. He’s just used to the controlled crashes (flight deck landings); only without a wirehook.
May 24th, 2008 at 4:38 amGreat landing. Had to be ex-military….Carrier pilot…had to be. WAY TOO MUCH puker factor on that landing.
