“Some families”?!
Anybody with two eyes and a brain behind them can see the Islamic influence throughout this travesty. This entire memorial is a tribute to the Muslim murderers who perpetrated this tragedy. There should be a Congressional investigation of the people behind it.
May 4th, 2008 at 6:44 ami hope they change it to a more proper memorial
May 4th, 2008 at 7:08 amHow difficult is it to come up with a different design? Not very!
May 4th, 2008 at 7:36 amNot one fucking word on what the Objections to the memorial were. They just quickly breezed over it and dedicated the segment to emotional sentiments that had no basis in fact.
ErrorTheory blog has been on top of this as well as a blog entry I posted in 2005 on hounddoghangout.

I wanted to reach into the video and throttle the woman at the end of the clip, who whined about being surprised at the “Level of Hate” that she heard in opposition to the “Memorial”.
Lady, you have no f*ing idea the depths of my hate for the islamic f*ck bags that did this.
May 4th, 2008 at 9:00 amWhat this story doesn’t show is the ORIGINAL design for the memorial. It was a straight up red crescent and they even called it “Crescent of Embrace”.
May 4th, 2008 at 9:22 amI think that lady at the end has no problem with the design because….she’s muslim. Of course she’d have no problems with a monument to her martyrs.
May 4th, 2008 at 9:51 amwait so this is the SECOND design?! Goddamn like you couldn’t insult the families any more. You first had to make the memorial into the Islamis symbol[why not put the sword there too?] and then you have to make it a Mosque?! I would LOVE to know who the designers are
May 4th, 2008 at 9:53 amThe woman who crys about the level of hate has no fucking clue. It is bitches like her who are the internl enemy of the United Srtates. I hope somebody who knows this asshole woman sends her to this site so she can read of the level of hate I have for the Islamic enemy and for her.
May 4th, 2008 at 10:46 amIf some of the family members see an Islamic symbol, then it is freaking there. Death to Islam.
Looks like a muslim crescent to me. Maybe someone should ask CAIR…….
May 4th, 2008 at 11:02 amIn Arizona we had a similar experience. Our Obama loving governor, JaNo, had no problem with a “memorial” which contained many jihadist and left-wing sentiments, not to mention looking like a cresent. The people however did have a problem. They managed to take some of the more offensive phrases off the thing. Power To The People.
May 4th, 2008 at 11:28 amIt should be a Star of David with a Cross worked through it.
May 4th, 2008 at 12:32 pm57 million dollars to construct this memorial - but they cannot respect the wishes of the families that do not want the current design because of its islamic layout:?:
The one lady made it sound like the people opposed do not want a memorial constructed. That is so far off the mark.
Of course all those families want a memorial for their loved ones and so do all those who oppose this design.
These idiot newspeople do not even delve into the real issues - they must be too politically incorrect.
There really should be a full investigation.
May 4th, 2008 at 2:08 pmThe insanity of the left rears it’s ugly head yet again. Check out the 9/11 memorial in Arizona below for more leftist insanity. There’s a real mental sickness going on in America these days.

More photos of the Arizona 9/11 memorial from HotAir. Some of these have absolutely no remote connection to anything about 9/11. WTF???

May 4th, 2008 at 2:28 pmWhat’s wrong with scrapping that bad plan for a new one?
May 4th, 2008 at 3:57 pmScrew that blaspemous crescent. Make it a huge symbol pertinent to the state of Pennsylvania, say a giant silhouette of the Liberty Bell with a new crack pointing to D.C. A crack that shrinks or grows depending on yearly national surveys of how well congress is doing in the war on terror. Let the grieving families decide on whether or not to plant a cross and if they’d like to orient it towards Philly, the birthplace of the Declaration of Independence. And just to piss off the jihadis, place a Star of David near the impact site honoring all the Jews who have made contributions to ths great nation.
Alec from Error Theory and the author of “Crescent of Betrayal” and I -CAO from Cao’s blog - have a blogburst going on this to get the information out on this travesty. We send it out to the blogbursters so we all simultaneously post on it on Wednesdays. If anyone wants to join, please email me at caoilfhionn1 at gmail dot com.
His book is available for free download at crescentofbetrayal dot com
This thing is a memorial mosque to the terrorists with numerous redundant terrorist memorializing features including an Islamic sundial that literally calls out the times for prayer - by shadow length- throughout the day. Very specific mathematical calculations are needed for that - because shadow length varies throughout the year.
May 4th, 2008 at 5:43 pmThe Arizona “memorial” is a graffiti-laden piece of exrement. This is was passes for public edifaces these days? Gross!
May 4th, 2008 at 7:20 pmyep I remember taking those pictures and I can tell you just being around the thing is sickening, if I had my way I’d squash it with a D9 Cat then scrape it off of the ground and into tome trash receptacle. They need to level it and start from scratch as far as I’m concerned!
They need to do the same with this Flight 93 memorial also I thought that the idea of a Star of David with a Cross through it would be appropriate and well received by the mourners.
May 4th, 2008 at 9:32 pmA couple of years ago this talk show host here in Philadelphia put a bus trip together so we all could go out there and see for ourselves. A Park Ranger also spent an hour with us with the large pictures of the design as you saw. I turns out that the designers wanted to preserve the lay of the land in the memorial. It’s on the site of an abandoned strip mine. The cuts into the land were done 50 to 75 years ago. One of the cuts into the land is were they wanted to put the red maples. The bell tower is just that, like any bell tower. The designers were designing a memorial trying to keep the lay of the land as it was on the day the plane hit. They did not see a muslim crescent until after other people saw it. It wasn’t intended to have anything to do with islam, one group saw one thing and others saw something else. It faces east because it faces east, that’s all, they didn’t change any land features. It doesn’t look good but, I assure you it wasn’t intended. When you see it you see how the land was already cut, just like a strip mine.
The site in in like a bowl surrounded by low hills. People that witnessed the crash saw the plane come over the hill, flip and then at 500mph go into the ground, completely burying itself. The volunteer tour guides told us if the plane had stayed in the air for ten more seconds it most likely would have hit a grade school on the other side of the bowl filled with kids that were watching the attack on New York.
