Special Needs Kid Voted Out Of Class By Fellow Kindergartners

May 29th, 2008 Posted By Lftbhndagn.

CBS: Melissa Barton says Morningside Elementary teacher Wendy Portillo had her son’s classmates say what they didn’t like about 5-year-old Alex. She says the teacher then had the students vote, and voted Alex, who is being evaluated for Asperger’s syndrome — an autism spectrum disorder — out of the class by a 14-2 margin.

I don’t know where Alex’s father is, but, if he was me, he’d be in jail this afternoon for going completely apeshit postal.

    Ain’t life grand.

How quick to judge on an “unjournalistic” report. Where is the retort from the other side. I will NOT judge until BOTH sides are heard. If the story holds up as presented in this broadcast - THEN I’ll condemn the teacher without reservation.

Jimmy you would be surprised at what goes on in grade school today. Bullying has reached an all new level, and I am not talking about the kids!!

I am in the middle of this right now with one of my kids, went through it two years ago with my oldest. Teachers unions have made these asswipes feel invincible and immune to any consequences.

I think home school is the way to go in the early years. It cuts out a lot of BS.

    Uh….

The teacher placed this kid in the hands of his midget-brained peers?

Just when I think stupidity has hit rock bottom, someone whips out a shovel and digs 10 feet deeper.

I hope the teacher lost her job for that
