Who Is The First Country To Offer Aid To Burma? - With Video
First Lady Laura Bush, announces aid is available for the people of Burma who have been devastated by a cyclone. She says that the U.S. hopes that Burma will allow a disaster assessment team from the United States in to the country to determine how we can best help the humanitarian crisis.
Hmmm…think Iran will offer aid? How about Hezbollah? Hamas? Syria? North Korea?
FYI: A cyclone is the same thing as a hurricane or a typhoon, basically, with some differences in the clockwise/counter-clockwise motion of the storm, what hemisphere you’re in, and a few other differences. Basically lots of devastatingly high winds and tons of torrential rain…who knows, I could be wrong, that’s off the top of my head.
Hey, ask Stan the Cussing Weatherman!

I want to say, as always in these situations, my heart and prayers go out to the people of Burma who have suffered this storm.
Let me also remind us of the fact that the government of Burma has taken the last year or more, without the MSM bringing it to the headlines, treating their own people with violence and disregard … and any help we send over had better be given to these people … and THAT had better be publicly stated and stressed by our officials:

May 5th, 2008 at 11:52 amAnd I will be willing to bet that the military is the only one in the world who has the ability to mobilize massive amounts of aid.

Yeah, but watch if the “aid” doesn’t get there at what [some] perceive as ‘not quick or big enough’ … in …
3 … 2 … 1 …
because the USA is spread too thin in the Iraq war …
and let’s not forget the whole America’s/Bush’s fault for global warming causing the cyclone …
