what is that from?
June 10th, 2008 at 7:56 amIt’s from the show Boston Legal.
June 10th, 2008 at 8:02 amWhat a bunch of stupid rot.
June 10th, 2008 at 8:05 amAlthough entertaining in some sense Boston Legal is another show about paid liars who have far to much respect in our society. Lawyers are just like prostitutes and actors, they get paid to pretend, in the case of lawyers its verbal pretending. Pretending to tell to the truth and want or represent the truth.
June 10th, 2008 at 8:09 amAs one who has worked for and with lawyers since 1978, I can attest to your theory being spot on.
In my younger days, I thought lawyers were truth-seekers (like journalists
) but, to my consternation, I found out otherwise. Liar, lawyer. Phonetically the same. Genetically the same.

OUCH. I feel for you jarhead. That must have been some let down. Beer still rocks.
June 10th, 2008 at 8:39 amEverything from “If the gloves don’t fit, you must acquit” to what we see taking place with the Haditha Marines case is proof positive as to how broken the legal profession is. Over 90% of our federal elected officials are attorneys and every year we have thousands of additional laws passed here in California and many are worthless or over regulatory of our day to day activities. I know this is not the point of the original post but I just really can’t stand attorneys or the insipid programs on the idiot box which glorify their existence.
June 10th, 2008 at 10:02 amI’d still like that kind of mentality in my candidate
June 10th, 2008 at 10:27 amI’m with you there…
June 10th, 2008 at 10:38 amIt’s comedy. Still…
June 10th, 2008 at 2:46 pmHe’s got my vote.

I’ve always said Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms should be a convenience store, not a government agency.
And I don’t have a problem with prostitution, as long as they’re not hanging out on street corners. I might not want to go as far as Holland, but I wouldn’t mind the Nevada model spreading to other states.
June 10th, 2008 at 3:59 pmOK he’s acting. But what a role model for right mindedness. Vote one Kirk.
