Environmentalists Blame Global Warming For Tomato Salmonella Outbreak

Da boogie man gonna gitcha! Bear in mind this article was written by a Greenie…

The tomato scare that has sickened 170 people and is the worst food scare since the E. coli/spinach outbreak is being blamed by some environmental activists on climate change and the need for more food grown with the help of genetically modified organisms (GMOs).

I was interviewing a board member of Food and Water Watch for a feature I am writing, and he positioned the scare as an eco outbreak because with less space to farm, more droughts, and higher costs, GMOs are the logical choice for farmers who want quick crops from less land.

For the record the source of the tomato infection hasn’t been determined. The FDA hasn’t narrowed its search. But this time of year the most common varieties are red round, red Roma, and red plum tomatoes. They are most likely grown in Florida or Mexico. The agency admits U.S. consumer demand to eat fresh fruits and vegetables year-round - has its job a lot more difficult. And concedes it needs more inspectors overseas. See a good take on this from the San Jose Mercury News here.

Anyway, the source of the E. coli in spinach turned out to be feces on the hoofs of wild boars that traipsed through spinach plants.

The source of tomato infections may turn out to be something as naturally errant as that. But with less room and climate change affecting crops, another outbreak is sure to come. GMO strands can only serve to exacerbate the spread.

I heard that shit-head Gore mention this in his I endorse Hussein sermon … What the fuck?!?! These people are really pushing the GW shit to the limit … watch the idiot masses who buy into and blindly follow this cult to begin dropping off ..

Oh yeah, if Hussein is prez there will be NO cases of food poisoning … Just like when Kerry was going to cure the folks in wheelchairs …

    drill

Everything they can possbibly think of is linked to GW.

This morning on local radio they were talking about how Gore claimed that the Myanmar cyclone was a direct result of GW, which scientists of course labeled as complete bullshit. It was also pointed out that in a recent survey, fucking Gore uses enough energy in one year to power over 230 homes. So much for being “green”.

How in the fuck do you get from:

“Anyway, the source of the E. coli in spinach turned out to be feces on the hoofs of wild boars that traipsed through spinach plants.
The source of tomato infections may turn out to be something as naturally errant as that.”

    To:

“But with less room and climate change affecting crops, another outbreak is sure to come. GMO strands can only serve to exacerbate the spread.”

    Without actually PROVING it??

Well they don’t call the fat ass GORACLE for nuthin.

“They are most likely grown in Florida or Mexico”

In all the reports I heard last week, Florida and California tomatoes were cleared as being fine to eat. That leaves Mexico, where there are zero health standards and workers shit in the fields. Mexican products and produce are inferior, plain and simple.

Additionally, I have read a lot about how vegetation and plant life flourishes during warmer periods, particulary when there is more CO2 in the air for the plants to utilize. I cannot believe these environmental freaks think everyone will just ignore the positive relationship between plant life and C02.

My dog chased a skunk the other day. I’m pretty sure it was because of global warming, ’cause she’s never done that before.

(She’ll never do it again, either!)

GW is caused by Gore’s chronic flatulence. Put a butt plug in him and presto, the next ice age cometh.. it’s true, really it is, when there are blizzards and floods around the world it’s because his thumb is up his… well you get the picture (no powerpoint required).
