Hey, Hussein: Proudly ‘Clinging to Guns’
By Susan Jones - (CNSNews)
A conservative group is using Sen. Barack Obama’s words against him on a T-shirt.
The shirt reads: “Memo to Obama: I’m ‘Bitterly Clinging to Guns and Religion’ (and I’ll keep the rest of the Constitution, too)”
The T-shirt “serves as a reminder that both religious freedom and the right to bear arms are fundamental American rights,” the Patriot Post Web site says.
Obama made the controversial remarks at a fundraiser in San Francisco in April, shortly before the Pennsylvania primary.
“You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration and the Bush administration and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are going to regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations,” Obama said.
When the controversy first erupted, Obama explained that he was making the point that “people are fed up,” but the remarks rankled and his opponents pounced.
A few days later, Obama told the editorial boards of the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Daily News that his thoughts had run together and he had “just mangled” what he was trying to say.
The Patriot Post advocates for individual liberty, the restoration of constitutional limits on government and the judiciary, and the promotion of free enterprise, national defense and traditional American values.
Where to order the T-shirt …

June 25th, 2008 at 4:30 amThis is perfect.
I expect that as we get farther into the election process that the hussein will appear more and more like the joke he is.
The MSM can only prop this guy up for so long.
Beware election counts brought into courts and the use of electronic voting. I think that we need to get back to a paper ballot and add in the indigo finger that the Iraqi’s showed off with such pride.
June 25th, 2008 at 6:07 amJohn Stewart is even making fun of him. which i didnt think was ever going to happen. its god-like facade is starting to peel away. he is a joke and he will be seen as one and when the final votes are counted (before all the recounts of course) John McCain will be our president
June 25th, 2008 at 6:23 amKurt … I see the slightest change too. I am hoping that people will continue to see what that guy is really about … something other than “American”.
