Is Hussein’s Birth Certificate Fake?

Town Hall’s “The Greater Evil”:

The Daily Kos blog has posted a JPG that allegedly is Barack Obama’s “Certificate of Birth.” From a detailed analysis of the image and the text, it looks like it was created by a graphics program, and is not a true copy of an original, certified document.

I’ve been working with computers, printers, and typewriters for over 20 years, and given a set of printed letters, I can discern what kind of device made them. Printer output is quite different from the text created by a graphics program, and even if a document looks “official,” it may not be.

The “Certificate of Birth,” which I will call “COB,” is posted on the Kos website as a color JPG. The reason for making it a color JPG, IMHO, is to induce the viewer to believe that this is a genuine copy of an original document — something that a black & white, or even greyscale, reproduction would not convey as well.

Basically, anyone could have produced this document on his or her own computer, and I’ll tell you why.

As represented by the JPG, the “original” COB seems to be a sheet of paper measuring 8.09″ x 7.90″ with a green “Rattan” pattern embedded in, or printed on, the paper and a “Bamboo mat” pattern for its border:

    Hmmmm … I dunno …

Ran Rather and Mary Mapes?? What do YOU think?

Complete fake. noticed the pixelation around the text as soon as I saw it, and I completely agree with the article. I’m no Photoshop expert but I have been using it for about 4-5 years now and even I spotted most of the discrepancies before reading the article. The dead giveaway though is all the copy being in the same font. Just for fun, I dug out my birth certificate. Let’s see how the two compare.

    1. I’m only 30, and my birth certificate was printed on a dot matrix ribbon-type printer. I sincerely doubt Hussein’s was laser-printed, as the laser printer was not invented until around 1969, and they were not commercially available until the mid-seventies.

    2. The font for each blank section is preprinted in what appears to be a Times Bold with Spanish portions italiczed. ALL personal information is printed in a DOT matrix font and is significantly grayer than the rest.

    3. The state seal on mine (New Mexico) is not only in color, it is also embossed. That would be tough to spot on a scanned copy but not impossible with a good scanner.

    4. The border is continuous, as it should be. Whoever forged this not only did a piss-poor job in this regard but was also simply lazy in putting the border together. I doubt this person knows much about photoshop, because this pattern could easily be created to fill a frame that would be unbroken.

    I call bullshit, loudly.

    double down on the bullshit.

(I have experience in document creation that I will not elaborate on at this time. )

If you are going to fake docs, do a better job.

    Hillary aware of this?

  4. Molly

The laser text gave it away for me. Most of these type of documents are printed on a dot matrix type printer like NickD pointed out.

  5. NickD

something else I saw on another site - the registrar’s signature is missing. even if its printed it should be there. According to the faint printing on the back that is visible through the paper, this was issued in 2007. Whoever the state registrar is (or was) at the time should be indicated on the front of this document, otherwise it is invalid.

  6. Ryan

That has to be the the the most perfect 48 year old paper I have seen! No folds on the corners or in half! Wow! Its perfectly flat!

  7. NickD

one more thing - if someone claims the “laser” indicator at the bottom is for the source document, they are lying. As this is a color document that would be printed in very large batches it would likely be offset printed, which is much cheaper and faster.

    Make that Bullshit x3

My Birth Certificate is hand written, and I am 38 from the once great state of California, which is much higher on the evolutionary scale than Hawaii 1961. Isn’t it a crime to forge a Birth Certificate? It is probably only a crime if you use the forgery for profit or deception right.

  9. kurt(the infidel)

would be hilarious to see the messiah get deported

  10. bill-tb

First off that is not a birth certificate … read the title. The two are different. A real birth certificate has more information, especially about the father.

A birth certificate can take many forms, and you can get a legal certified copy from the State you were born in.

  11. Bear1970

Yes you can get copies. The also have more information at least in California. And they also have the seal embossed. How did they get a copy in first place I had to go to the county office and show proof that I was my sons father just to get copies of his Birth Certificate. It is like a SSN they don’t just give them to anybody who asks at least now here. :?:

    Is Hussein’s Birth Certificate Fake?

Oh…wouldn’t that be fun to watch

  13. Kentucky Jim

    1. Same old proportional printing that sank the fake Bush/Rather memos. Especially obvious in “Hussein”

    2. Was “African” a race in 1961?

    3. I think faking an official document is only a crime if you are a conservative.

  14. mike

Chris Mathews might get a “tingle up his leg” when Obama speaks. Myself, the hair on the back of my neck stands up, and I throw up in my mouth a little bit. Truly frightening how so many can be so enraptured by so little.

  15. TJ (Honorary Lesbian)

I also understand that Obama ia a dual citizen of kenya and the states. I was told a presdiential candidate can not be a dual citizen. is this true?

  16. Poe

Pretty sure they can be dual citizens.

I am also pretty sure many states (well, at least alaska) can give you a electronic copy of your BC that looks about like that one, maybe thats all it is.

Or maybe its a planted fake so they can let the attention grow and grow on it and use it for a distraction from what a real fuckwit he is then present the real one to discredit those after them and have bought time that could have been used better against him…

But I kinda paranoid so that could just be me.

  17. GregGS

Never seen a B certificate without the location of birth hospital etc.

  18. jaybear

A certificate of Live Birth is a document generated per request by the State where you were born to verify that you were born in the U.S. It’s a document used as an I.D. to apply for a Passport.

I requested one from the State of Colorado a couple of months ago so I could get a passport and it was spotless and very clean. I’m 54 years old, and yes my Birth Certificate is old…tattered…and worn….just like it’s owner

As much as I wish that he could be deported, this is not proof of falsification.

  19. dadeo

fake or not this one is a (certified?)copy NOT an original. lower left hand corner “(rev 11/01)”

  20. dadeo

    Kentucky Jim

I think you are correct; that would have been “Negro” then pre PC

  21. Kim

First off, may I express my sheer surprise that a father’s name is given. I thought Obamessiah was an immaculate conception

I’m looking at several birth certificates ranging from 1953 through 1985 and from different states. Everyone of them asks the age of both mother and father. In the older certificates, they ask for father’s occupation and color or race. This seems to have been dropped in the newer certs. But in all certs, they give the hospital name and have places for signatures of a parent, an attendant, and a local registrar. These are all missing in Obamessiah’s cert. Has anyone checked O’s anti-smear website to see how he’s dealing with this?

  22. bigpapabo

Uh Duh FAKE!!!! Daily KOS does he even matter anymore?

  23. jasjfarrell

    O. K. We have the phony Bahama birth certificate and the phony Dan Rather letters. When are we going to see the phony John Kerry Honorable discharge?

  24. Caligula

i believe a “certificate of LIVE birth” at least in the state of florida is simply a document that is filled out at the time of the child’s delivery (birth)

this is basically a form that the hospital staff would fill out BY HAND.

the actual birth certificate would then be printed out at a later time. the “certification of birth” contains only a portion of information like the child’s name, parents name, sex, etc… but not all the 3-4 pages of information taken on the “certification of live birth” form (again, this is current practice here in florida)

the “certification of birth” form would also be computer generated, not hand written, and printed on a document as shown above. in florida, and in new york (if you follow the link above) not sure where else, would title the sealed state certificate form as “certification of birth” not the live birth thingy.

    i.e BULLSHIT

  25. Brent

The pixelations surrounding the fonts is a dead giveaway. This was Photoshoped without any question. This would not be hard for me to reproduce with striking similarity. This is 100% fake.

The real question is why would these wacko libs from the Daily Ko(ok)s weblog do this to begin with? Is it to distort reality? Noooo…

  26. Robert Kirksey

Has anyone tried to contact persons who worked at the purported delivery hospital during the time of Hussein’s birth? During that time it was highly unusal for young white girls to be squeezing out Negro babies. Undoubtedly more so in Hawaii. Surely someone would have remembered the event if it actually occurred when and where claimed.
