June 4th, 2008 at 7:22 amWhen my 9 month old daughter hit too hard, I gave her back a slap that was just a bit too hard to be playful. Problem solved.
We have raised three retrievers from the time they were puppies. When one started the nipping/biting stage I waited for it to nip me and then bit an ear just hard enough to make it yip. Problem solved.
All these events were during play and controlled. Who knows the whole story in this case.
