One Moment of Respect Is All You Get - Then, Fuck You
I must respect this moment in American History.
I must, because I am an American, and I love my country.
I must tip my hat and nod my head, and send out a moment of respect to Barack Obama.
I must respect this moment because I respect the system of Government based on a document, our Constitution, that I have raised my hand and sealed in my heart, a vow to preserve, protect, and defend against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help me, God.
When I was a kid, the line was always, “Dream big, and you can grow up to become President of the United States someday.”
They don’t say that anymore.
But I must respect this moment in history, because it is truly an historic moment in America‘s story. A black man actually has the opportunity to become President.
Tonight Barack Obama became the Democratic nominee, and will be on the ballot in the General Election, and actually have a legitimate shot at becoming President of the United States.
For any American of any race or gender to arrive at this position is in, and of itself, worthy of respect.
And so right now, for a limited time only (like the next 60 seconds), I tip my hat, and nod my head to Barack Obama.
Congratulations are due him and his campaign. History has been made. And I believe that America has turned a corner, and no longer can anybody legitimately scream “Racism!” or “Sexism!” when it comes to opportunity in this country.
I tip my hat and nod my respect toward Hillary Clinton as well.
So congratulations, Mr. Obama, on receiving the nomination…
I am a true American, and I respect what you have achieved to this point, wanting to believe that you have the best interest of the United States of America at heart.
But I don’t believe you do.
I said all of that to say this…
I disagree with everything you stand for. I disagree with every way you wish to govern this great country. I disagree with your political and philosophical ideas, and I think that you would be very, very bad for this country.
I have offered you my respect, as an honorable man would do.
But now, I will do everything in my power, I will use every gift and talent God has given me, I will work tirelessly 7 days a week, I will turn over every rock, look inside every closet, research every moment of your life, and do everything that I possibly can, within my power and within the law, to see that you NEVER become President of The United States of America.
I am repulsed by your ideas.
I am repulsed by your theology.
I am repulsed by the people that you associate with.
I am repulsed by your wife.
I am repulsed by your willingness to lie.
I am repulsed by your belief that you can get away with lying to the American people.
I am repulsed by your elitist attitude.
I am repulsed by your disdain for our Armed Forces.
I am repulsed by your stated foreign policy ideas.
I am repulsed by your stated domestic policy ideas.
I think I could probably go on and on with my list of things about you that I find repulsive, but I have had enough.
As long as I have the proverbial pen.
As long as I have a platform.
As long as I have breath in my lungs, I will do everything in my power to see that light shines in to all of your dark places, and expose who and what you really are, and that you never become President of the United States of America.
God Bless America. And Lord, help us to reveal this man for who and what he truly is…
Bash, sir. You are a gentleman and a scholar.
June 3rd, 2008 at 7:13 pmWow! Bash, you did better than I could.
I would have had to use words like “neo-communist charlatan”, “snake-oil salesman”, “false prophet”, “pied-piper of schlock”, “wolf in [black]sheep’s clothing” … I could go on, but I think I type slower than you do so I’ve more than used up my 60 seconds.
June 3rd, 2008 at 7:19 pmLike freaking, wow! That was totally cool.
June 3rd, 2008 at 7:20 pmAnybody can be President. Not anybody SHOULD be.
June 3rd, 2008 at 7:23 pmHE MUST NOT BECOME PRESIDENT!!!
June 3rd, 2008 at 7:50 pmVote Bash ‘08.
June 3rd, 2008 at 8:04 pmWhy is this important? I thought the dhimmicrats were colorblind, that race and identity politics didn’t matter to them, that Hussein is the just another American running for POTUS. Oh wait!
June 3rd, 2008 at 8:20 pmSigh.

At least George Jefferson was a Patriot.
June 3rd, 2008 at 8:28 pmHere Here (or is it hear hear?) either way, well put Bash.
Now, on to the business of ensuring that he NEVER gets elected POTUS
June 3rd, 2008 at 8:48 pmGod Bless you Bash! Never let up, this man and all his faults and weaknesses must be exposed fully; he must be stripped so bare the naked truth of his soaring ideologues and flimsy experience, wily associates and socialist agendas finally see the fresh American light of day.
Up until now the msm’s darling has been coddled and protected, now is the moment the gloves come off; libtards across the nation prepare to watch your false prophet be disowned and humbled absolutely and by a true and very proud America.
This general election cycle will be a battle between those who outwardly hate their country and those who know they are blessed by it every single day. My money is on the latter, and on proud individuals like Bash and others here who hold their nation not in contempt but in awe of all its proud achievements.
Utopia is for dummies, America is for real.
June 3rd, 2008 at 8:55 pmHIS MOTHER WAS WHITE. HE CAME FROM THE WOMB OF A WHITE WOMAN!!
June 3rd, 2008 at 11:46 pmNews says, “Obama Reaches an Historical Moment.”
And they don’t elaberate upon “why” it is historical.
And they refer to efforts with Clinton as an “historic insurgent campaign.”
Floating words like surge, and insurgent; like they really lived them. We should just flush them out by empowering the whole lot to raise ALL the taxes they want, before Jan.
June 4th, 2008 at 1:15 amActually… That’s why the Liberals are rushing in these Global Warming taxes… So they’ll be on Bush’s shift!

Hey Bash,
You left out the fact that he is lying about his ethnicity.
He ain’t black, he’s Arab. He carefully refers to himself as
an African-American and lets his followers color their space
in the language of black struggles in the USA, whereas otherwise
we might wonder if it is safe to hand over the controls to an
Arab guy so soon after 9-11.
Here’s a link for you:

I think he is a researcher for Fox News, who seemingly won’t use it.
That’s a whole different story that needn’t concern us here.
united we stand and divided we fall and divided we are
June 4th, 2008 at 3:36 amThe time lapsed between the congratulatory kudos and your true feelings was appropriately a nanosecond. Like shaking someones hand before gripping tightly, pulling them toward you and kneeing them in the groin.
June 4th, 2008 at 5:22 amWell stated Bash!
