June 5th, 2008 at 5:09 pmRepublican “leadership” is conceding the traitors will gain 7 Senate seats. The “leadership” is conceding the donks will have 50 House seats over the Republicans. Winning a war against foreign enemies abroad and hostile defeatists at home doesn’t give them pride. Liberating millions of people from brutality and laying the groundwork for a friendly, and the first democratic, Arab country in a dangerous part of the world doesn’t make them optimistic for greater peace and security. The Dems have given us $4.00 gas and promise to make it go higher. The Republican “leadership” wants to compete for the support the donks get from environmental wackjobs; as if. We have oil. We want oil. We want high paying jobs. Increasing supply will bring down the price of oil and give the U.S. greater strength in the world trade markets. If we wanted, we could develop so much we could dominate and control the price fixing over OPEC countries. Then what would they have but Jihadis and sand. We could unleash the hounds of free market capitalism on oil production. The most environmentally conscious country in the world can do this cleanly, and responsibility, and don’t tell me we can’t. Any poser who says we can’t doesn’t understand the greatness of this country and its people, as best exemplified by our soldiers, honorable all, and better than the rest of us. Yet, somehow, the Republican “leadership” can’t get excited about making us proud, encouraging our freedom and greatness to solve problems, with the right ideas and the right message, despite what the hostile defeatists claim here at home. No message, no hope, no plan, just react to an ever increasingly hostile and insane Dem party. People despise Congress for a reason and the “leadership” can’t figure out how to tell people they hate it because its run by Donks who do nothing but harp endlessly about how rotten this country and it’s people are with silly global warming laws. This election should be a cakewalk. The “leadership” should go talk with the soldiers and ask: “Son, what makes you such a man and me such a pussy?”
June 5th, 2008 at 5:12 pmIf it wasn’t for ethanol, the price would be 1.00 less. In that price is the .54 cent tariff on imported corn and the extra 20 cents it costs to make the shit.
It’s strange that Canada is charging so much for fuel, since they are our #1 importer of gasoline. If they’re exporting fuel, why are they f’ing their own people?
In Scotland the price was 2.88 (US) last I checked. And they also mine their own fuels???
OPEC is driving up the price because of the vast supply needs of China, Brazil, et al.
For all the good we’ve done, we should get a steep discount.
The only way that’ll happen is if we become self-sufficient in energy. Tell Al and his Gorian minions to go F-off. Then tell OPEC to cram it.
The gas lines of the 70’s will be back…you watch…And once again…the children (Al-Himars) will be in charge of energy policies….just like the 70’s.
June 5th, 2008 at 6:01 pmIf the republicans want to win this election, use the economy. And the biggest threat to the economy is from rising fuel prices. Jam it down the democrats throats this election cycle.
The immediate impact at the pump to the rising cost of all goods and services that depend on transportation is real and is a source of anger. Feed on it. The pocket book vote always wins.
It’s the economy stupid.

I agree 100% This is an argument with teeth, everyone feels the bite. Every American is angry about the price of gas.I hold the democrats in congress responsible.Peloser said she would lower the gas as part of her bid for speaker.Gas was at 2.19 a gallon at that time. Great job there dems.
June 5th, 2008 at 6:19 pmBut Johnny Mac don’t wanna drill in the US. We are soooo fucked
June 5th, 2008 at 8:40 pmLittle Johnny Mac cares more about being popular at DC dinner parties than he does about doing the right thing.
What a sorry group of people we have running our country. I haven’t voted for any of them except Dubya and I’m deeply disappointed with him.
June 5th, 2008 at 8:49 pmI was referring to Republicans being elected, not McCain.
