The only thing Muslims and the Arab world understand is strength and by having our guy go, even if it is to just listen, sends a signal to that the United States is showing weakness. This according to one of my favorite experts on Middle eastern Politics, Brigitte Gabriel.

I think that getting the kind of attention that Iran is going to get is not a sign of weakness, it’s a sign of enough rope to hang themselves with.

I’m trying to rack my brain on how the previous bombing’s by Israel on a nuclear reactor in Iraq and Syria evolved and both times it happened with minimal check’s coming off a list. Pretty much stealth and no warning to the world community.
I would love for Israel to strike while Hussein is in the midst of his socialist tour of Europe. Now that would be tasty.

Well, now, that you said she is an Arab, a Lebanese, I understand better her way of expressing her allegence to the official policy of the day : we have such Arabs that are involved in wether, Sarkozy’s government or the socialists’ (can’t see any among the commies or greens though )
and their discourse is also far more radical than of an indigenous’. One can say they want to be accepted by the “clan”, therefore they add more stones in the basket than neccessary, and look tight and autoritary in their position.
Now, might be a remain of her former muslim environnement where you have to be a bigot, or because she is a woman of muslim ancestry, she wants ABSOLUTELY be part of the new “group” and not be confounded with the arab herd. But I expect that, like her arab ancestry, she is also dual, lie/truth, trahison and opportunism for motto.
