Reason 1. “bullet proof vehicle” Wowie zowie Batman! Where can we get one of those? If this guy writing the letter is a USAF Captain (O-3), don’t you think he would know WHAT type of transport the Senator got into? (Humvee, Buffalo, Bradley, ETC.)

Reason 2. Once again, this guy is supposed to be a college-educated officer. He doesn’t know how to spell Commander In Chief. Instead we get “Commander-and-Chief” isn’t that a Russell Crowe movie?

You may be right, but knowing this guys views I do not doubt the sentiment of the email. Keep in mind, most people know others who are highly talented in their chosen fields but can’t write worth a damn.

When I was in the construction field, the same could be said of the Mexican carpenters, plumbers, etc. working alongside me.

This is America. There’s no excuse to not have a good command of English, be it spoken or written. Laziness isn’t an option.

I agree wholeheartedly with you. The problem lies with the education system. If it stays the same as it is now, there will always be those with less than adequate command of their spoken and written native tongue.

That being said, I think I’d enjoy the company of the Cowboys’ cheerleaders–though I’m a Packers fan–more than any politician.
