4:22 A.M.
Well, I got nothing yet to report from my recently returned Blackwater guys, as the whole meeting quickly descended into a barfight a, ioncluding two Marines and Air Force guy, with civilians who I shit you not, began attacking everone for being veternas. I cannot believe shit like that when these idiiots, for either personal ego-battered or political reasons, pull this shit. It’s like being in an alternate universe, or I suuppose, just being surrounded by a bunch of screeching low IQ monkeys.
12:23 P.M.
Got quite a busy morning and mid-afternoon, will be on as much as possible, much more late afternoon and evening. Someone call Bash, and get him out of bed.

I just spent a half hour with a 24 year Force Recon vet whose fought almost everywhere. Shit howdy, he had some stories. I got a run to meet some other Marines and the Blackwater at a pizza party, back soon….will pass along the stories and Baghdad update. Don’t expect any flying fists and bottles this time…
6:09 P.M.
Back in the saddle again. Rainstorm has home phone down, will be doing it from cell. Hmmm…maybe I should think of topics. Been a hectic week, with a lot of outside focus, but as you regulars can tell, I’m back on full-time as the script for 20th Century Fox is beginning to slow down as the bulk of the work is done. Look forward to talking to all y’all who call in tonight. Gonna stick my nose into the news right now and catch up on what’s been going on on a day when my nose has mostly just been in my life and the lives of some of my friends…you know, real life, not just news, film, and writing life…

Mornin’ Pat. . .
July 13th, 2008 at 5:21 amWait, what? Who picked the fight? I hope it wasn’t the Marines (although I have a sinking feeling). Did the vets pick the fight or did someone pick a fight with the vets because they WERE vets? Either way, shitty way to end a meeting.
July 13th, 2008 at 5:42 amMay I rephrase “a bunch of screeching low IQ monkeys” into:

July 13th, 2008 at 5:47 am“the braincapacity of a 10 year coke-snorting shrimp”?
(With my appologies to every creature belonging to the shrimp-family that is
I have gotten into more fights because of being a Jarhead than I have for being “forward” with other peoples women…
I cant count the amount of trim I have dogged that someone else assumed was spoken for.

July 13th, 2008 at 3:21 pmPat:
What state did the bar fight take place in? Was it California?
Something positive: Friends of mine were in a restaurant and saw 12 soldiers walk in. Our friends were just finishing their dinner and called a waitress over, saying they wanted to pay for the guys’ dinners anonymously. A few minutes later, they got up to walk out, but the soldiers had been told what they had done and ran over with their hands outstretched, giving them a handshake and a hug. Nope, my friends aren’t rich.
July 13th, 2008 at 3:45 pmI’m out all day tomorrow and then off to France to see how bad their Muzzies are. Kind of funny taking into consideration the French hate everyone that they would let muzzies in as much as they do.
I have to say: There’s no place like home….

To all you Europeans that read this:
I find it very funny that most of Europe think Americans are the most ignorant people in the world. I have been bumped, kicked (Accidentley), hit in the face numberous times with umbrellas by people walking by me and NOT ONE TIME did I hear and “Excuse Me” or an “I’m Sorry”.
I’m telling you now, that “Stereotype” of the Brits being courteous and proper and apologetic - its BULLSHIT. I have said I’m so sorry more times then I can count and NEVER have gotten any response back for ANY of them that smacked into me on the street.
Sooooooooo - You Euros that think Americans are RUDE have no fucking clue what the hell your talking about. I would suggest to you taking a little trip to the US and travel past the East Coast and see America for ALL she’s worth. Because I’m telling you from my heart, you will NEVER find a nicer, give you the shirt off your back, curious group of people in all the world. We are the best they world has got folks. Take it to the bank!
I’ll have a full article up when I return….
Until later - Wishing I was home again…

July 13th, 2008 at 4:43 pmPHILADELPHIA/NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. brewer Anheuser-Busch Cos Inc (NYSE:BUD - News) agreed to a $50 billion takeover by Belgium-based InBev NV (Brussels:INTB.BR - News), a source familiar with the situation said on Sunday, creating the world’s largest beer maker.

The U.S. will no longer own a major brewery!
Even though most A-B lack taste, this is still a disappointment.
