July 17th, 2008 at 3:50 pmSitting on post bored out of his mind… Good thing the COG didn’t decide to make his rounds during this.

July 17th, 2008 at 4:20 pmI thought I heard him say… $9.95!, but wait! IF you order within the next twenty minutes (because we can’t do this all day) you’ll get a free Shamwow!

July 17th, 2008 at 6:03 pmsniper machine gun
July 17th, 2008 at 6:57 pmLance Corporals….
July 17th, 2008 at 7:09 pmOnly $9.95 and so much nicer than the old nets and burlap tape in green, brown, buff and black which weighed tons when wet and stood out like a diamond in a goat’s ass on almost any terrain.
Enjoy yourselves people. You make us so proud!
July 17th, 2008 at 7:12 pmOr if you don’t want to pay $9.95 you can go to DRMO and pick up some used netting. Knew a Gunny who decked out his house with the stuff just for shits and grins. Hell, Super J (Gunny Johnson can fix anything, hence Super J) could probably come up with a complete product line for stuff like this.
July 17th, 2008 at 10:26 pmThings have calmed down in Iraq to the point that the guys have to do crazy skits to keep themselves entertained.
BTW Mindy, in the Combat Arms gallows humor and such are a mainstay. When you;re constantly exposed to danger even in peacetime, humor cuts the fear factor down cuts into the boredom and tedium.
Marines are trained to kill the enemy and thrive on combat.
The challenge is a head rush. Without that adremeline rush, life gets boring really fast.
We love our Marines and our Soldiers. Few of us have the pleasure of working with them every day. For you older vets who don’t know…not much has changed. These guys and gals are still cool and still a pleasure to work with.
Semper Fi dude.
