July 16th, 2008 at 6:07 pmPastor manning quoted revelation where Jesus said he hated the nicolatians. wrong, it said he hated their actions. Love the sinner , hate the sin? Jesus Got angry with peoples sins but he never hated them. Pastor manning missed this. However, the rev burnside said a christian should never speak ill of a fellow christian brother, well he’s wrong since St.paul did the very thing with St. peter, rebuking him in his presence.
July 16th, 2008 at 6:16 pmDon’t want to spoil the punch line at the end, but there’s a Bible verse that backs up the good reverend’s response re. a theoretical punch to a Christian’s face.
“Answer a fool according to his folly, or he will be wise in his own eyes” (Proverbs 26:5).
Also, there’s a clear directive promoting self-defense. Jesus, during the Last Supper, said: “…If you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one” (Luke 22:36).
These two verses balance out Prov. 26:4 and Matthew 5:39 which seem to suggest the opposite.

July 17th, 2008 at 3:50 pmI like a good BHO bashing as much as the next guy here, but this nut is not the one to do it…His scripture is all mish mashed and he seems to have to reach way too deep to get to his point…
We should be careful of giving this guy enough clout in the stop Obama movement that he becomes a face the libs could bring up as the “typical obama hater”…
It would not be a good thing…
