This ship outclasses the Jamaran (a destroyer wannabe), but ours also comes equipped with 400 brains on-board.

    This is a heavy hitter.

I was fortunate enough to tour the USS Monterey with dad and bro, during the July 4th 1997. It was an awesome warship, I just feel sorry for anyone–the good guys–who can’t tour an American warship in the aftermath of the Cole bombing. But I totally understand the security reasons.

Hell, Clinton’s policies of lax security permeated everywhere, didn’t they?

I see it more as a offensive ship. I wonder how it defends itself. Kevlar isnt going to stop a missile.

Most newer ships rely on electronics and avoiding detection. they are quite lightly built Australian ANZAC class Frigates have hulls and superstructures made from 5-6mm steel in most places and rely on their internal structures for strength.

Bring back the Iowa class battleships. 58,000 tons of diplomacy.
