Wes Clark’s ‘Qualification’ For POTUS … The ‘Victory’ At Waco, Tx.

I’m giving KUDOES right up top to site commenter Hugh who mentioned this fact in another story thread.

As the late Johnny Carson is known to have said to Ed McMahon on many a late night occasion, “I did not know that …”

Of course, it was during the 1990s and the Bill Clinton - Janet Reno administration … You know the times … the ‘Good Old Days’ when “the economy was good” and Hollywood was whistling while they worked, and the Lincoln Bedroom was THE place to jump on the bed and slam your head on the ceiling if you were a celebrity or a Chinese donor to the Clinton coffers. Oh, that glorious yester-decade of hand delivered pizza by a young and plump brunette intern who wore just the right shade of red lipstick as she smoked hard and heavy on the slightly boomerang-shaped dick as the dick’s owner chomped on the greasy pie.

Then there were those nuisances … Stacks of lost FBI files, red money from Chi-Coms, the fucking occasional interruption of an Embassy of the U.S.A. being attacked, or a couple of towers in NYCity, or some boat clear across the world in some damn Arab harbor getting a hole blown in her side … OH! And that stinkin’ Cuban kid that just HAD to swim his little ass ashore after his freedom-seeking mother had the audacity to drown at sea …

But ALL that paled in comparison to some whacko Waco religious cult clouded with accusations of child abuse … Now them wuz some REAL enemies there … So much so, aside from Yugoslavia, then Pres, Clinton and his little-buddy Janet Reno just KNEW that THIS was what the United States Military/Army was meant for … Yeah, man!

So, call in the troops from Ft. Hood, lead by Gen. Wesley Clark

This is where the Johnny Carson quote comes in, BTW …

Oh, and [sidebar] note here: The Posse Comitatus Act … Yeah, that’s that ‘little’ thing Pres. Bush and the federal government would have been in VIOLATION of had they just stormed into New Orleans, La. after Katrina … But yunz DIDN’T hear THAT in the news, or from dumb-fuck rap artists claiming George Bush hates black People

Clark Tanks Rolled Into Mount Carmel; The Democratic presidential candidate and now-retired four-star general commanded the soldiers and military hardware in the disastrous federal assault against the Branch Davidians - a violation of Posse Comitatus Act

Byline: Kelly Patricia O’Meara, INSIGHT

Retired Army Gen. Wesley Clark wants to be president and, given that he is a man who has worn many hats during his controversial rise through the ranks, many believe this qualifies him for the top political job. Clark has worn the hat of first-in-his-class graduate of West Point, Rhodes scholar, decorated Vietnam combat veteran, White House fellow, four-star general and even Supreme Commander of NATO a post from which he was relieved. There is one hat, though, that despite lingering suspicions and accusations Clark neither has confirmed nor denied wearing a hat that many Americans might find very disturbing for a military man seeking the top civilian post in the U.S. government without first registering with either political party or being so much as elected dog catcher.

In his recently published book Winning Modern Wars, Clark proclaims that the “American way was not to rely on coercion and hard pressure but on persuasion and shared vision,” which has been taken by Democratic Party doves to explain why the retired general has been an outspoken critic of President George W. Bush’s handling of the war in Iraq. But while Clark may prefer a “kinder, gentler” persuasion in dealing with U.S. enemies abroad, critics are saying his actions at home should be reviewed before deciding whether he is qualified to be trusted with America’s civil liberties.

For example, there is the 1993 siege of David Koresh’s Mount Carmel commune in Waco, Texas, where four law-enforcement officers were killed and nearly 90 civilians men, women and children massacred by being shot and/or burned alive. Those seeking an investigation of his part in the Waco outrage say that Clark not only played a hidden role in the military-style assault on the Branch Davidians, but easily could have refused to participate in what was a clear violation of the Posse Comitatus Act that bars use of the U.S. military for civilian law-enforcement activities. *** Special Brasscheck Report ***

- Did the tactics of NATO’s commander Wesley Clark
in the war against Yugoslavia seem oddly familiar?
There’s a good reason for that -

From Waco To Belgrade: Wesley K. Clark and America’s
“Army of the Future”

By Ken McCarthy - (Brasscheck)

General Wesley Clark was involved in the siege and
final assault near Waco, Texas that killed, by a combination
of toxic gas and fire, at least 82 people including
some three dozen women, children and infants.

As outlandish as this claim may seem, it’s a reasonable
conclusion that can be drawn by any fair minded person
who takes the time to examine the evidence. Further,
there is substantial circumstantial evidence that, Clark,
in addition to acting as a tactical consultant, may, in
fact, have been the prime architect and commander of the
entire operation.

If this is true, why is it important?

First, it represents a clear violation of US law. The
military is banned from involvement in the enforcement
of US civil law except under certain carefully defined
circumstances. The incident at Waco did not come even
close to legally qualifying.

Second, it casts light on some of the more outrageous
tactics used in the war against Yugoslavia, in
particular the bombing attacks on Yugoslavian news
media, essential life support services, and on civilians,
the latter which were sometimes, but not always, described
as “accidents.”

Third, President Clinton began the year with the
statement that he is considering a Pentagon
proposal to create a new US military command,
commander-in-chief for the defense of the
continental U.S., a first in peace time and
an alarming move for reasons described in
“Bombing ’suspended’ - and now, the future”

So, WHY does this matter? … Why, because he, Wesley Clark, brought it up … You know, military service being ‘interchangeable’ as a qualification for POTUS.

As we are constantly reminded with everything from the 1990s Clinton administration … THAT’s in ‘the past’.

But see, that’s the thing about government and history … The two are intertwined … and DO matter … no matter when they need to be referenced. The actions of the past dictate or influence current and even future policy or decisions. Why else do our courts and law schools depend on something called “precedent”?

Wesley Clark (Ret. Gen) felt the need to run for POTUS, never having served in an elected government office … And when his attempts failed he supported John Kerry (2004) and stressed Sen. Kerry’s Vietnam experience of a few months as high qualifications for holding the office POTUS.

However, now this same retired Army General feels Sen. John McCain’s Vietnam service, and near 6 yr. incarceration and torture in a POW camp there, are so much unqualified hog-wash … Never mind Senator McCain has spent several years as an elected Senator in the US Congress …

No, Ret. Gen Wes Clark prefers the outstanding qualifications of the Jr. Senator from Illinois in his first term in the US Senate who spent sometime as a ‘community organizer’ in Chi-Town …

With ALL due respect to the uniform hanging in your closet next to that nasty Waco, Tx. thing, Ret. Gen. Clark … sit down and STFU … Sir.

As I stated above credit goes to “Hugh” a commenter to the site …

I didn’t know about that either … But back in the Clinton years I was just growing up and waking up to this whole government and political thing …

Rhodes scholar! OH! I DIDN’T KNOW THAT! So he was a brain wash commie (harsh word I know) who squirreled his way into the Armed forces to create as much subterfuge as possible, let see what a leftist mindset can do wrong, waco AND bombing christians in Yugoslavia and not the moslems. I’m sure he was not a general during Vietnam and don’t no if his role was like SSgt. Barry Sadler or John Kerry but go figure!

fucking brilliant, thank you drill!  :gun:

It is just disgusting that Fox News hired him as a military and foreign affairs analyst.

Branded, Branded. That was one of my favorite TV shows as a kid. Plus Chuck played for the; WOW! current World Champion Boston Celtics. So he is way cool.
Anyways.. Clark just seems like a phoney to me. I don’t care about his accomplisments in life. There is something about the man that smacks of ill will and fake. For example how ’bout the company he created right after Katrina to suck off the teet of the Federal government? This is the person I am talking about.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but Gen. Clark is on the board of directors of Vet Votes. They ran a bogus attack ad against Jim Talent during his Senate race in Missouri. Michelle Malkin ran the story in November 2006.

Awesome stuff. Too bad McCain will never go there and use this material. He can’t risk taking off the gloves, because he is too civil to go for the throat of His Holiness, Abama, the Savior. Oh, I almost forgot, when Clinton lied, no-one died. Spin that to the dead Serbs and their families. Genocide rocks, when it’s pollitically convenient. No matter that we may witness the new holocost in Israel and a new depression when woking people choose unemployment because it’s too expensive to buy gas instead of food. But that’s not nice, and we have to play nice. Turn the other cheek, and take it like a man. Let’s all be good little socialists and not step out of line, okay comrades?

Welcome to the USSA, and where Pravda lives again in the mass media. If it were not for blogs like this, I would have gone “postal” months ago. I can hardly wait for the Dems convention in Demver. Should be good times.

Pissed off and now registered as independent, what me worry?

Clark’s armored vehicles used flammable tear gas to burn 76 civilians alive. Including 21 children.

In 1994 Clark posed for cameras with Serb war criminal, General Ratko Mladic.

    Traded hats even.

While in Bosnia he also ordered a subordinate British command to prepare for an attack on Russian troops at Pristina airportt. Pissed because they got there first.

Clark has also been observed making a drunken asshole of himself on State visits to Russia.

Fawning over John Fucking Kerry in 2004, Clasping Michael Moore Then Hillary, now Obama.

The man is a clinging whore. With a Military record that is totally and disgracefully DISQUALIFYING.

I used to watch Branded too, it was great entertainment.
Lets see how fast his obamaness throws Clark under the bus.

(lost my connection, so this is a re-do of a new post)

Wesley Clark is a good example of ineptness, he was probably promoted to get him out of a command where he proved to be an example of the military’s own “Peter Principle”. Having served in the US Air Force during the Viet Name era, I got to witness this practice personally. Or is he just really another useful idiot for the cause of the most exalted one, Obama, our Savior? Either case, he has no clue about making a complete fool of himself. To dismiss McCain’s “riding” in a fighter jet, is just insulting. So it’s gotta be that he doesn’t like the idea of going up against a real pilot, because you don”t ride a single seat aircraft, under enemy fire, you fly it. This is the same twisted anger and logic used by another senile old fart and useful idiot, the “Honorable” Senator Robert Byrd. Remember how pissed he was when Presdient George Bush landed a fighter jet on the aircraft carrier? What nerve, the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces actually donned a flight suit and uniform…….did he think that GW had a desk job in the Guard? No he flew jets, moron. Maybe he prefers to use the Winnie the Pooh defense policy. That should make our enemies shudder. It’ll be like Rodney King, “Caccan’t we all just ….get along?” This will be the mass denial after Gitmo gets shut down and the suitcase nukes start going off.

Let’s see Obama fly a plane, or shoot a BB gun. Commander in Chief? My ass! He has no idea, without his advisors, handlers, and teleprompters. I can’t wait for the real debates to happen. McCain may have yellow teeth, and look old and senile, but he just may drop the Mr. Nice Guy demeanor when it’s time, and get the game face on. We better hope so. We better hope he picks a real, no-BS Veep running mate like Bobby Jindahl instead of some slick career politician.
