Rolling: Actual Pics From Dollard Reader Steve in NC’s Detroit Vacation…

August 19th, 2008 Posted By Bashman.

Steve, ya had me rolling on the floor with these pictures. The funny part is, I’m guessing that this fruit stand was not a joke, and that it was completely a pro-Obama business.

Am I right?

Please, elaborate for us a little more beyond what I have pasted in below from your email.

This is golden…Steve writes:

I promised some obama pics of Detroit, and damn did I hit the mother load, check out the attachments.

I was driving through the city today, showing my younger children some of the apts I lived in and drove by that produce stand. Had to do a u turn for that.

Post em as whatever, pic of day or what. Of course many will think it is rascist, but f*ck, I did not photoshop this.

11

I also drove by a gas station that had ‘premium’ spelled ‘premiuam’ on the large sign in the front of the station, the one with the prices. It was a commercially made sign. My shot was blurry, so no pic.

22

Absof*ckinglutely sliding into third world there. No money to clean the freeways so instead of playing the road trip game of finding the plates of different states, I made up a game of ‘find the debris’ for my kids. So we called out the different shit seen on the side of I 94 and I 75. Like tires, refridgerator door, king box spring and mattress set, work buckets, hard hats, couch cushions, life jackets, and many bottles of urine and much more.

33

I told ‘em you were an instant winner if you spotted a corpse, my son argued that the guy we saw passed out in the field across from the melon stand was a corpse, but he was not willing to go poke him with a stick to confirm it, so no points.

44

Missed last 2 (JihadiKiller) radio shows and am away on business this coming Sunday.

55

Anyhow, think these pics will get a laugh?

Steve in NC.

Bash Note: Steve and his family were also up there to attend a second family funeral in a month, and our heartfelt condolences go out to you Steve, and your whole family. You are a true Dollard National, and we are proud to call you family. But those pictures, bro…O…M…G. heh heh….even Louie oinked.

I think Drillanwr would have posted this one, but Photoshop isn’t her favorite thing…LOL, but let me stress that none of these were altered by Photoshop in any way other than resizing to fit the blog.

I’m a native Detroiter and we used to play that same game! It’s amazing the trash and filth that cover our once great city. Last spring I drove down an alley near Harpo’s Theatre and there was half a garage laying in the street. The funny part was it had grass and weeds growing on it. It had been blocking half the street for a long time. I just don’t get it.

Democrats are really into the Obama slogan. the politically astute understand that slogans don’t mean shit, ideology does.

  3. mike

“instant winner if you spot a corpse” WOOHOO!

  4. drillanwr (Today I Am A Georgian)

“VOTE OBAMA - A Fucking Watermelon In Every Pot”

Well, that about says it all for Hussein …

Green on the outside, and all red on the inside.

  5. mike3481

Pat, I have three older sisters, the middle one is the financial Controller for a NBC affiliate.

If I send her those pics there’s a slim, very slim chance they’ll end up on air.

But I’d rather the pics float around the Internet for a while until it’s picked up by Fox News.

Or is it too late and I shouldn’t bother.

You once hinted the MSM has been visiting the site.

    What do you think.

PS - my Sis has drank the Kool-Aid.

Here’s an interesting side note: “Steve’s Produce” is occupying a building that used to be a gas station and auto repair facility. That’s reasonably certain from details visible in the pics. Mr. Hope-N-Change’s supporter is leaching bucket-loads of solvents and fuel waste into the surrounding soil and groundwater, with the clean-up costs rising every day, and the local government and enviros don’t give a crap. If I owned that place, or ‘Big Oil’ owned it, or anybody that didn’t vote ‘D’, they would give a crap and bankrupt him.

Also, I assume all of those steel gates are to keep out Republicans!

  7. Paslode

    LMAO!

  8. Kurt(the infidel)

now that is priceless. watermelon and Hussein Obama. Whoo Hooo!

  9. mike3481

What the hell am I thinking?

Breitbart and Drudge will pick this up.

    Duh, mike.

  10. Chuck

That looks like a black hand giving the middle finger on that “Change is Coming” logo. Not so subliminal message made to look like buildings I think.

  11. jarhead68

No MSM outlet OR anyone else will pick up these pics and use them for fear of being labeled racist. I’ll be shocked it they wind up on Fox or any other mainstream outlet.

I’d call the pictures ironic and kind of funny, too.

  12. Marc Stockwell-Moniz

Detroit is now officially in a lost, lost world.

  13. Marc Stockwell-Moniz

    Panic in Detroit!

  14. Zeke Eagle

What’s racist about a bunch of “shiney” melons? Unlike keeping chickens to teach the kids to walk.

That is not far from Harpo’s, it’s on Connor, between I94 and Jefferson.

I was listening to the local news radio station while they were discussing the sitting mayor of Detroit, whom is wearing an electronic tether on his ankle, and his fight to stay in office regardless of the damage it is doing to that city, and came across this.
    Pure serendipity!

That whole scene is symptomatic of false hope the obama campaign is relying on. That store owner is in a shithole of a city which has seen decade after decade of democrat leaders lie to them, never able to deliver on what they promise and then blaming everyone else for their woes, helping to further create a victim society dependant on a negligent government instead of themselves and their God given talent, skill and desire.

Really pitiful, they line up for the bullshit again and again. The last mayor worth a shit was Dennis Archer, but he was not black enough for the city. Whatever the hell that means. They are doing good now with Kwame. His mother Carolyn Kilpatrick, is Chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus and just won another election. John Conyers wife is the President Pro-Tempore of the city council and is nowhere to be seen regarding the Kwame case since she is being investigated by the FBI in a bribery case. Most of the city council is being investigated.
Oh and the socialist Govenor granholm is waffling, unable to do what is right unless her advisors tell her what it is.

I have no will ill to that store owner other than a disagreement on politics and policy.

But I am sure this will come across as racist on my part somehow. Whatever, the way I see it the black community has no idea what Martin Luther King Jr. said in that famous speech.

I teach my children not to judge by skin color but by content of character. I may be teaching them to be fools. I truly hope not.

  16. Tom in CO

    Great quote, drill.

    Detroit is hopeless.

  17. Larry In NC

Well, HELL…when your mayor is in & out of jail, who has time to keep the shit at an acceptable level??

Between the Libs and the unions controlling the automotive industry in that town, Detroit doesn’t have a prayer…until they drop the puck at Joe Louis Arena and the Red Wings become the only redeeming quality of that cess-pool.

  18. TBinSTL (just typical)

Maybe Gutfeld will run them on Red Eye but even there he would be putting his career on the line. We’ll see…

  19. Steve in NC

hey, I just noticed a slogan on the left side of the building on the top

    ‘The Peoples Market’

It is a f*cking commie fruit stand after all..

Excellent pics! It says it all doesn’t it.

    Also,

“That whole scene is symptomatic of false hope the obama campaign is relying on. Amen to that Steve. You are a great dad and a great American. I am so glad I did not miss this.

“Also, I assume all of those steel gates are to keep out Republicans!”

    LMFAO!

  21. Brian H

Is there any possible hope or future for the city? Can’t imagine what it would be.

Speaking of glass houses: Pat, don’t diss “premiuam” if you can’t spell “refridgerator” (refrigerator). Ain’t no Ds dere, despite the brain crossover from the brand name Frigidair.

  22. David

“Time for change!” the sign in front says. It sure is. The trouble is that “change” means “MORE AND MORE AND MORE of the same” to the dems. I was laughing and crying in my oatmeal at the same time. It’s too late for me, but I fear for my children and grandchildren.
There is no more “don’t” in “DON’T TREAD ON ME”.
The “Minute Man” needs to be resurrected as the “Man of the Hour”.

  23. Steve in NC

Brian H, nice, I dropped the ‘D’ in that for a reason. Although I don’t have too many panes of glass left, I’m still picking up stones.

  24. mindy abraham

Watermelon stand owner likes obama  you can’t make this up

  25. Jon

I’m compelled to break out in song…..Randy Newman’s “Sail Away”.

Ain’t not lions or tigers, ain’t no mamba snakes.
Just the sweet watermelon and the buckwheat cakes.

    Steve said:

“I teach my children not to judge by skin color but by content of character. I may be teaching them to be fools. I truly hope not.”

    ******

Absolutely! Exactly, Exactly, Exactly! I struggle with the same thoughts. I have raised my 15-year-old to be “color-blind” and in a world that is turning out to be so anti-white, am I setting her up for failure??? - to think she is equal and she is not - in the eyes of those running things now and especially if he gets elected, she is lesser. They are teaching their children to hate white people with vengeance - are our children going to be ill-equipped to deal with all of that hate when we have taught them to judge character and not skin color?
