No doubt he would defend some crack whore mother for LOSING her baby through drug use and self-abuse and neglect.
Next he and others will speculate if Sarah Palin did something that caused Trig’s Down Syndrome … The ignorance rolls on and on … Like a turd ball rolling down a shit mountain … getting bigger and bigger.

Still, a Sacramento, Calif., obstetrician who is active in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, said when a pregnant woman’s water breaks, she should go right to the hospital because of the risk of infection. That’s true even if the amniotic fluid simply leaks out, said Dr. Laurie Gregg.

Not always told in advance. There are certain tests done early in pregnancy that detect DS … the most definitive the amnio, which involves using a needle to penetrate the mother’s abdomen and enter the womb for a sample of the amnio fluid for testing.
The test is offered to women above a certain age when pregnant … Usually it was 40, but that may have lowered in recent years … why? … I’ll touch on that in a sec. However, if the doc suspects something in a woman who is younger they will advise for the test.
I was just over 40 when I found out I was (SURPRISE!) pregnant … my two older daughters were well on their way to being “grown” … anyhow, upon my first prenatal visit I knew what was coming … Doc advised an amnio because of my increased odds of having a baby with DS. I refused. While the risk is supposedly minimal, there is the chance of the test itself causing infection and even miscarriage of the pregnancy. Also, I just did not feel the self-centered need to know. I would not judge my unborn baby’s “worth” by some scientific gene map. My doc was livid. Touch shit … My choice.
Anyhow, as I mentioned above, the test is sometimes done on younger moms to be if the doc suspects something. DS is NOT hereditary. It just happens. … Like throwing the dice and getting the same number every time except every now and then … and those times are the DS (and there are other genetic disorders that involve the chromosome arrangements).
It is a fascinating study, Down Syndrome … Pop it in your search engine.
Also, I think people have this misconception that DS kids/people are all the same. Nope, they are as individual as all of us. There are different degrees of delay and mental retardation … just as there are different degrees of intellect in us. My two daughters passed me up big time.
But to the testing … the UK has all but eradicated DS births. How? The testing is nearly mandatory in ALL pregnancies, no matter what the age. Yes, this is being done intentionally … google that too. And I don’t even want to tell you what is being done to DS and other ’special children/babies’ in some of the Scandinavian countries after birth.
All ‘worth’ is being stolen from this segment of our species/population/humanity. Hitler’s docs would be proud.

I am also a “Senior” mother. Yeah guys they call us older woman who are pregnant or get pregnant after 35, “Seniors”. When I was pregnant with both of my last children I had to go through genetic testing. The chances of having a DS baby greatly increases with the age of the mother. Its just how nature works. DS happens AT CONCEPTION.
DS or Trisomy 21, is a condition in which extra genetic material causes delays in the way a child develops, both mentally and physically. It affects about 1 in every 800 babies.

Guess what, FAMILIES survive…mothers still have careers. Downs kids are full of love and should NEVER be in the “should they be aborted” discussion.
