As American Armada Sets Sail For Iran, Iran Lashes Out: “Aggressors Will Not Leave Here Alive”
Georgia for Iran? I know I’ve heard that somewhere…
Iran’s Press TV ( Who enjoy offices in New York):
Commander of the Iranian Army Ataollah Salehi warns Tehran’s enemies against committing an act of aggression against the country.
“The enemies will not pull out of the region alive if they dare to invade the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Major-General Salehi said as he addressed a group of Iranian military attachés who had gathered in Tehran on Tuesday.
Salehi’s remarks follow last week’s reports about an armada of US naval battle ships heading toward the Persian Gulf with the aim of strengthening US strike forces in the region.
On August 11, a source close to the Israeli intelligence agency, Mossad, revealed that the USS Theodore Roosevelt, the USS Ronald Reagan, and the USS Iwo Jima were sailing toward the Persian Gulf. The source continued that they were accompanied by a British Royal Navy aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal and the French nuclear hunter-killer submarine Ametlyste.
The deployment is believed to be the largest naval task force gathered in the region by the US and its allies since the 1991 Persian Gulf War.
Washington and its staunch ally Tel Aviv (both possessors of nuclear warheads) have threatened to take military action against Tehran if it does not give up what they call the country’s military nuclear program.
The threat comes despite various reports by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that there is no conclusive evidence indicating that Iran’s nuclear program is aimed at military purposes.
Iran as a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty, however, it has refused to react to the military threats in a compliant manner. Instead, it has tried to enhance its defense abilities by conducting several maneuvers, and testing new domestically manufactured weaponry.
These guys always sound like Baghdad Bob….
August 23rd, 2008 at 6:28 amThese guys always sound like Baghdad Bob….

Maybe that is where he disappeared to.
August 23rd, 2008 at 7:04 amDid we ever catch him?
Guess he is giving lessons in Iran.
Yea, they got their “taqyya” going.
August 23rd, 2008 at 7:04 amwell either way i dont see us “invading” Iran. well not with soldiers at least. we probably will take over their airspace and probably put some spec ops on the ground to mark targets. but they cant stop us, we will gain air superiority in about 3 or 4 hours. what they will do in response is anyones guess. but general Baghdad Bob can keep running his pisser until the cows come home (or is it goats come home?) and it will make zero difference. IMO
August 23rd, 2008 at 7:28 amIran with nuclear weapons is a scary prospect admittedly, but invade Iran? Please don’t!
August 23rd, 2008 at 7:40 amLondon Calling, maybe you should reserve your “Please don’t!” for Iran and her defiance of the world community.
August 23rd, 2008 at 8:31 amYou’ve got to see this, Ahhhckmed Dinnerjacket crying, he must realize the coalition naval forces that are on the way to destroy his “peaceful” nuclear projects.
You have to download a .wmv file.

August 23rd, 2008 at 8:36 am“The enemies will not pull out of the region alive if they dare to invade”
Didn’t Saddam say something like this before the first and the current gulf war? These guys just don’t get it, or are afraid to achnowledge reality. But then again, maybe they are hoping the Dem’s win in November and they get a repeat of Carter’s failed attempts.
Damn that’s a good looking ‘boat’ by the way!!
August 23rd, 2008 at 8:38 amIran with nuclear weapons is a scary prospect admittedly, but invade Iran? Please don’t!
Step aside Mother Country, let the big boys (The U.S. and Mighty Israel) do the job.
August 23rd, 2008 at 8:47 amYou just worry about So. Iraq, if in fact you can still even handle that. Capish?
London Calling
i dont think an invasion is likely at all. their airspace will be pretty damn busy soon though.
August 23rd, 2008 at 8:59 amAtaollah Salehi… Assume the position you unshaven, unclean pig ….
Yo daddy be comin to cap yo ass. (little obama lingo)
August 23rd, 2008 at 9:02 amYa’ll almost made it to the elections—-toooo baddd
Iran will not have a military or a nuclear sector very soon.
Will Russia be in place for a power grab of oil fields?
August 23rd, 2008 at 10:41 amlets see how the russian weaponary works this time! :roll:this time if we see a russian convoy trying to get out of the country, eliminate it!
August 23rd, 2008 at 1:19 pm“The enemies will not pull out of the region alive if they dare to invade the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Major-General Salehi said as he addressed a group of Iranian military attachés who had gathered in Tehran on Tuesday.

August 23rd, 2008 at 2:28 pmNo one, least of all me, is doubting that you can flatten the place if you so desired. But tell me, is that the wise thing to do? Are there not other solutions to the problem? “Because you can” is not a moral argument.

London Calling
I’m thinking your carrot needs some stick behind it.
August 23rd, 2008 at 3:35 pmNegotiating has worked so very well,
“Because you can” is not a moral argument.
You’re new here? We’ve already concluded the balance of the “moral argument”…. that they deserve it.
August 23rd, 2008 at 4:45 pmGot a moral argument of your own we can discuss?
I’ll make this slow and easy for you:
What Iran wants is time. The more “negotiations” it can keep floating, the more time it gets. Israel knows it cannot afford to allow time for a functioning A-bomb to be put together. Neither can the US. Maybe London would accept a ship-nuke detonating in its harbour, but Americans have had about enough of explosive surprise visits.
August 23rd, 2008 at 5:58 pmIf we zap them, expect Iranian agents to do everything they can to upset our food supply, water supply, oil supply, release of biotoxins to cattle, etc, etc. They may even use some their nuclear material for other types of chaos via terrorist attacks. At that point, they will do whatever it takes.
These fucksticks won’t play nice. But, they must be stopped as soon as possible.
August 23rd, 2008 at 6:15 pmThere is nothing moral about Israel being threatened with destruction daily, especially if Iran gets nukes.
August 23rd, 2008 at 6:58 pmNo more Chamberlains.
I’m guessing that getting “eyes on” with those types is why this hasn’t happened already.
August 23rd, 2008 at 7:06 pmLet the games begin!
August 23rd, 2008 at 7:39 pmPersonally i’m fucking fed up with this back and forth shit with Iran.
They’ve been killing our Troops for at least two years, if not more. They know it and we know it.
These are our fathers, our brothers, our sons.
It’s long past the time to shut them the fuck up !!!!

Just like we did with Kadhafi, but a hell of a lot worse.
Mr. President…Get this done before you leave office. You owe it to our Fallen Warriors. The men who Gave All for their country.
August 23rd, 2008 at 7:52 pmHonestly this is probably not a good thing in my opinion, fuck Iran, but invade them now? why? they haven’t done anything differently than they have in the last couple of years? So what’s changed? I personally think you guys are going to argue for invading for invadings sake…
August 23rd, 2008 at 8:13 pmWe’re not going to “invade” them. There will be no mass incursion into Iranian territory with the intention of taking and holding territory, nor an occupation. AT MOST, you might see armor units making very fast hit and run missions into the Iranian border-lands, like the Thunder Runs into Baghdad back in ‘03, but on the brigade level.
What WILL happen is a deluge of cruise missiles, JDAMS of every size dropped from every altitude from both land and carrier-launched aircraft, including high-altitude AA defense suppression by stealth aircraft and, possibly but not certainly, the usage of bunker-busting tactical nuclear weapons.

Gaige Mosher
August 23rd, 2008 at 9:50 pmDo you happen to know if the rocket assisted penetrator bombs are on line yet? That would make the nuke option less likely to be needed.
I do not wish to speak for anyone else but I think london calling was refering to an all out boots on the ground invasion.
That is unnecessary, we already did that and that bridge head is solid, it’s currently called Iraq.
Controlling airspace and movement in and around the country is a different story. That can be accomplished from the air and sea. That is what we are about to witness if Igotmeaneedforajihad doesn’t back down and un-fuck himself.
Locking down that country for a month or so would bring it to it’s knees. They are already in the midst of a sustained depression. 23% unemployment makes alot of people cranky.
I think that is what people here are saying.
August 23rd, 2008 at 10:00 pmBesides wouldn’t it be grand as a show to the Commies in Georgia as we sign an agreement with Ukraine to deploy missiles ala Poland!!!
I may be wrong, but I believe they’ve been online for a year now or more now. I can’t recall the specific documentation, but it was an Air Force press release analyzed by credible online sources, Defense Tech or Popular Mechanics.
August 23rd, 2008 at 10:01 pmAs an addendum to my last comment, libtards lose The Peoples House and Pooty Poot has to deal with McCain for eight years which means we cut our oil imports to about 25%, which in turn leaves Russia without a cashflow and guess what, We win the second cold war as well.
August 23rd, 2008 at 10:06 pmDo you want to get on board london? Or are you content to kibitz from the sideline and tsk tsk about moral equivalence after the heavy lifting is done.
Tedders – I don’t want Iran to have a nuclear capability as much as you don’t, but I don’t think the US unilaterally invading Iran is the right solution.
Marc Stockwell-Moniz – Looking at the photos of you on your website, you look as if you’ve been “handling” too many pies. Capish?
Kurt(the infidel) – You’re getting closer here I think. I’m not against a bit a sabre rattling to emphasise a point.
Mike Mose – This is exactly the kind of thing I mean by “please don’t invade Iran”. There will be folk in Russia trying to argue that they have to respond. You might solve the problem of Iran, but cause huge headaches elsewhere.
TBinSTL – Don’t give in so easily. No silver bullets here mate.
Sully – How’s this for a moral argument? An all out assault on Iran by the USA would probably only last a few days, like it did in Iraq. None of your territory will be in the slightest danger. But aren’t there other states around the world who also “deserve it”? Russia? China? How would your “solution” work then? As I said, “because you can” is not a moral argument.
Brian H. - Of course I want none of this. I just want the US foreign policy to be lighter on its feet. Only fight when you absolutely have to.
Marc Stockwell-Moniz – Are you saying it’s not possible to make the opposite mistake to Chamberlain and go to war when you don’t need to?
