I avoided it last night and I will continue to avoid it this morning.
August 29th, 2008 at 2:47 amThe speech started with this incredible line of bullshit:
“With profound gratitude and great humility, I accept your nomination for the presidency of the United States.”
Standing in a ball stadium on a dais created by a pop-star stage designer with giant video screens projecting his image in larger than life dimensions amongst swirling spotlights and charged firework cannons he claims he is humble.
August 29th, 2008 at 3:47 amSame old same old… he’s still clinging to His bluster and slogans.
August 29th, 2008 at 3:59 amSo I’ll be keeping my guns and Bible then.
‘I’ll debate John McCain anytime!’….. yeah, right.
That’s some mighty fine teleprompter reading there, who wrote that speech for you?
August 29th, 2008 at 4:37 amAmerican Jarhead:
I avoided it as much as I could, but Fox was playing snippets of his speech all night. I read somewhere that he said something like “The U.S. military is the strongest in the world, but that’s not what makes America strong.”
Did he say that last night or was that from another speech? Is he a complete bondafide idiot? How many times is he going to give backhanded compliments to the military and expect them to respect him?
