You Get One Moment Of Respect - Then I Say “Fuck You”
I wrote the following piece back around June 3rd of this year when Barry Insane Obama (my new name for him) became the Democrat’s “presumptive” nominee.
Well, now it’s official. So in case you missed it the first time, my presumptive piece will now become the official piece and here it is:I must respect this moment in American History.I must, because I am an American, and I love my country.I must tip my hat and nod my head, and send out a moment of respect to Barack Obama.
I must respect this moment because I respect the system of Government based on a document, our Constitution, that I have raised my hand and sealed in my heart, a vow to preserve, protect, and defend against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help me, God.
When I was a kid, the line was always, “Dream big, and you can grow up to become President of the United States someday.”
They don’t say that anymore.
But I must respect this moment in history, because it is truly an historic moment in America‘s story. A black man actually has the opportunity to become President.
Tonight Barack Obama became the Democratic nominee, and will be on the ballot in the General Election, and actually have a legitimate shot at becoming President of the United States.
For any American of any race or gender to arrive at this position is in, and of itself, worthy of respect.
And so right now, for a limited time only (like the next 60 seconds), I tip my hat, and nod my head to Barack Obama.
Congratulations are due him and his campaign. History has been made. And I believe that America has turned a corner, and no longer can anybody legitimately scream “Racism!” or “Sexism!” when it comes to opportunity in this country.
I tip my hat and nod my respect toward Hillary Clinton as well.
So congratulations, Mr. Obama, on receiving the nomination…
I am a true American, and I respect what you have achieved to this point, wanting to believe that you have the best interest of the United States of America at heart.
But I don’t believe you do.
I said all of that to say this…
I disagree with everything you stand for. I disagree with every way you wish to govern this great country. I disagree with your political and philosophical ideas, and I think that you would be very, very bad for this country.
I have offered you my respect, as an honorable man would do.
But now, I will do everything in my power, I will use every gift and talent God has given me, I will work tirelessly 7 days a week, I will turn over every rock, look inside every closet, research every moment of your life, and do everything that I possibly can, within my power and within the law, to see that you NEVER become President of The United States of America.
I am repulsed by your ideas.
I am repulsed by your theology.
I am repulsed by the people that you associate with.
I am repulsed by your wife.
I am repulsed by your willingness to lie.
I am repulsed by your belief that you can get away with lying to the American people.
I am repulsed by your elitist attitude.
I am repulsed by your disdain for our Armed Forces.
I am repulsed by your stated foreign policy ideas.
I am repulsed by your stated domestic policy ideas.
I think I could probably go on and on with my list of things about you that I find repulsive, but I have had enough.
As long as I have the proverbial pen.
As long as I have a platform.
As long as I have breath in my lungs, I will do everything in my power to see that light shines in to all of your dark places, and expose who and what you really are, and that you never become President of the United States of America.
God Bless America. And Lord, help us to reveal this man for who and what he truly is…
Amen
August 28th, 2008 at 2:49 pm“God Bless America. And Lord, help us to reveal this man for who and what he truly is”…
I’m doing my best to expose this Marxist fucking bastard for what he really is. The media has their heads so far up this Demonrats ass it’s sickening. Everyone who cares about our beloved country has to do everything in their power to keep this asshole out of the White House…This is no joke friends!
August 28th, 2008 at 2:55 pmA black man actually has the opportunity to become President.
Who’s the black man you speak of?
August 28th, 2008 at 2:59 pm“One Moment Of Respect - Then Fuck You” LOL That is so funny. Gotta take a break, cant stop laughing.
August 28th, 2008 at 3:00 pmWell said. Amen and amen.
August 28th, 2008 at 3:07 pmAmen to everything you covered here Bash!
I don’t care if he is green, purple, pink, black or white - it is what his belief system is and complete lack of integrity that tells me all I need to know.
August 28th, 2008 at 3:09 pmBarry is black?
August 28th, 2008 at 3:11 pmObama is a fool beyond all reality and a pawn for the evil that is death. That evil will bring an entire nation to our knees at the alter of Allah.
August 28th, 2008 at 3:31 pmIs it racist to describe the Dim’s ticket as the “Vanilla Oreo ticket”?
Think about it.
August 28th, 2008 at 3:33 pmThis is a masterpiece and sums it all up.
August 28th, 2008 at 3:37 pmI’m a regular on a non-political humor blog and held my tongue when much of the DNC coverage was being discussed, then someone said, “You gotta admit, on a day like today, you have to believe Martin Luther King is looking down with a proud tear in his eye”. I wanted to respond, “No, he would more likely have done that when Clarence Thomas was named to the Supreme Court,” but didn’t. Instead, I said something like, “If you ever actually listened to the I Have A Dream speech, you would realize that Obama is exactly the opposite of what King had dreamed. He’s a guy being judged by the color of his skin, not the content of his character.”
So, now I’m not real popular on a site I’ve been posting to, for years. That’s the danger that is Obama. You are not allowed to make a thoughtful, reasoned criticism of him without (literally) being called a “War Hawk (where on Earth did THAT come from?)!”
August 28th, 2008 at 3:53 pmChris, St. Petersburg
August 28th, 2008 at 4:10 pmThey called you a “War Hawk”?
Hell, I’d wear that as a badge of honor!
Hold your head high…………
The token of respect I’ve got for Obama is that he is, without question, the finest politician I’ve ever even heard of. He has taken nothing, and I mean the absolutely NOTHING the has to offer as an American, a candidate, and a human being, and parleyed it into a chance to be President. That’s just fucking amazing.
I also say that if someone just hands McCain a bottle of spray tan he’ll be able to give himself everything that Obama has to offer.
August 28th, 2008 at 4:18 pmYeah, yeah, fuck you, then fuck you.
August 28th, 2008 at 4:37 pmDC, I get your point, but I’m always disturbed when somebody goes straight to the ad hominem (personal) attack, instead of posting a counter-argument. That tells you, immediately, all reasonable discussion is over.
That’s disturbing when it’s a humor blog full of smart, well-read people. I would expect that in a school lunchroom like Fark, but the mix at this particular site is roughly 50-50, conservative-liberal. People go out of there way, there, to stay away from serious political discussions, out of courtesy. I’m concerned when I see extreme reactions like that amongst folks that usually behave. That’s what concerns me about this Obama character.
August 28th, 2008 at 4:47 pmGreat article!
August 28th, 2008 at 6:08 pmIf he’s a Marxist Socialist Statist in a Capitalist Constitutional Republic… doesn’t that make him a domestic enemy?
August 28th, 2008 at 6:53 pmThe Dhimmis nominated the first mulatto to a major political party.
August 28th, 2008 at 7:58 pmThe problem is: O’Bambam is the wrong mulatto.
Simple as that.
Easy button!
AMEN. I know, it’s already been said a few times but I just watched his speech and he actually said he was going to fuck us. If you make over $24,000 a year you’d better cover the “exit only” hole because Hussein is aiming right for it.
August 28th, 2008 at 8:12 pmChris, St. Petersburg:
Wait until you let slip at your humor blog that Malcolm X renounced Islam and became a Christian before being murdered by a black Muslim.

Very well-written. Did it take you a while to write or was it one of those pieces that just flowed?
August 28th, 2008 at 10:22 pmBillie…
Nah it just came out in about 3 minutes. I don’t spend a lot of time actually writing “writing” writing here on the site, these are more just stream of consciousness, off the cuff commentaries I put up with the stories.
August 28th, 2008 at 11:22 pmNo one feels that this man should not be President. It is not a race issue but since everyone likes to use it. Here’s a little something from me and my friends. http://blackmenformccain.com/

OK. I watched the whole speech from Obama. I did not see the crowds go nuts with enthusiasm. I was not impressed with his ideas or his oratory skills. Everybody said this had to be the speech of a lifetime.
No way.
This was a speech based on old platitudes, cliches and liberal talking points. I saw no newness. I saw no difinitive hope for change.
He should fire those speech writers.
August 29th, 2008 at 1:20 amWhen I saw Hussein on stage in Denver with his sinisterly angry eyes that he inherited from his father, aggressively denouncing President Bush and Vice President Cheney, and angrily belittling our country’s noble and just mission in Iraq, Hussein eerily reminded of Muqtada al sadr. This man, Barak Husesin Obama is downright scary.
August 29th, 2008 at 2:56 amDid America elect Bush for 8 years? Its not about race now but we will be rascist when he loses in NOvember
August 29th, 2008 at 2:59 amWhen I saw Hussein on stage in Denver furiously pointing his finger and with his sinisterly angry eyes that he inherited from his father, aggressively denouncing President Bush and Vice President Cheney, and angrily belittling our country’s noble and just mission in Iraq, Hussein eerily reminded of Muqtada al sadr. This man, Barak Husesin Obama is downright scary.
August 29th, 2008 at 2:59 amTo Mike from Texas,
The sites are very good and thoughtful. Always thankful for good men.
August 29th, 2008 at 3:40 amgood article but ill never respect this commie shit head. i would like to meet him and al gore in a back alley, but who knows then he might use his blaok magic on me or something
August 29th, 2008 at 3:58 amjake
I wouldn’t worry about his “black-magic”, you have to believe in it before it can harm you.
Kinda like using magnets for pain relief…..if you think it’s gonna work, wellllllll….then it will.
August 29th, 2008 at 4:36 amBash
So glad to see this story back up on the front page. It is a work of art that speaks to the soul of any person with sound mind.
August 29th, 2008 at 4:47 amNot a “story” - I meant what YOU wrote so well.
August 29th, 2008 at 4:48 amAlaska Gov. Palin Tops Speculation About McCain Veep Pick

FUCK YEAH. Hope its true.
August 29th, 2008 at 6:40 amAs I arrived home last night, traffic was backed up as the local IB Magnet HS had a huge Obama rally at their outdoor stage. 3 major network news vans, interviews with the kids, “Hope” and “Change” in the air… you get the picture.
After parking, my neighbors were outside chatting, and asked me if I had attended. I politely replied that I was working late, and planned to cling to my guns and religion.
You should have seen the look on their faces.
August 29th, 2008 at 8:20 amPriceless!
lol good article
