Messiah’s Cyberattack: This Week’s Conservative Blog Shutdowns Linked To BarackObama.com IP Addresses
…and notice that this was the week that Obama made his racist remarks, and McCain began handing him his ass…very convenient to shut down the blogs that would spread the word against Obama during his most vulnerable week..
DBKP:
At least one of the attacks in the latest wave of blog shutdowns this past week came from IPs assigned to barackobama.com.
We have reported twice in the last two weeks about the attacks on anti-Obama websites. [”Google, Blogger, Obama: Obamanation Shut Down My Blog!”]] & [BabbaZee’s “Anti-Obama Blogs Shut Down by Google, Obamabots”]
Speculation on who was behind the attacks has ranged from “Obama supporters” to “it’s no one, just a glitch” “to “it’s a browser problem”. [Site Meter causing Internet Explorer failure ]. This latter is a completely different issue from the blogs that got shut down by Google/Blogger.
A few liberal blogs and Instapundit have said there is no connection between this latest wave of blog shutdowns and the Obama camp.
Speculation can now be set aside–at least, in one instance.
We came across this post by MacRanger at MacsMind [Macsmind Hacking UPDATE] yesterday, where Mac presents “one fact that can’t be explained away”.
On July 22-25 Macsmind was DOS’d (Denial of Service) that originated from three IP addresses that are assigned to Barack Obama’s website. This isn’t a theory but was confirmed via law enforcement through an inspection of the site logs from those dates. The IP address in question; 66.39.4.254 66.39.143.229 216.146.206.181, are all registered via “Go Daddy” under the name barackobama.com.
On those dates, beginning at At 5:48PM Central on the 22nd, the hosted server that contained our site was hit by a 1.6 gigabyte flood of illegitimate traffic. The attacks never abated and only stopped when our host provider took us off line.
Spam traffic originating from three IPs assigned to the barackobama.com would seem to be compelling evidence to the disinterested reader. We haven’t been able to reach MacRanger yet, but the real question isn’t “Is the Obama camp involved in this?”
It’s “Will this story be publicized?”
MacsMind finishes with
Speculation is one thing, but facts are another. This time however we’ve taken protective measures to prevent this from happening again. Additionally the investigation will continue and appropriate interstate authorities have been notified.
Texas Hill Country [] makes the comment, “Translation: People using computers at the Barack Obama Campaign are using them to systematically hack, attack and shut down websites that don’t agree with him. This is so messed up. It’s some Orewellian type business and it’s stuff like this that makes Obama scary as hell…”
As DBKP’s Blogger site was locked down Thursday night by Blogger for being a spam site, we can attest that it was not a problem with our browser that prevented us from posting there for approximately 36 hours.
It wasn’t a browser problem that caused the following message to appear when trying to post at our DBKP Blogger site.
Site Meter didn’t post the two messages and lock down our blogs.
One question: “Did the spam messages that shut down DBKP@Blogger originate from the same IPs that shut down MacsMind?”
A second question: “Will Blogger and Google check?”
A final question: “If Google finds the attacks came from the IPs at barrackobama.com, will they let anyone know?”
We’re not holding our breaths for answers to the last two.
At least one attack came from barackobama.com. Were there more?
We’ll be updating as more information becomes available.

August 3rd, 2008 at 2:18 pmI am not a bit surprized
I have never had so many problems with things as I have this week. At one point my whole system shut down and fortunately for me I have a kickass recovery program.
I had a feeling they were behind it all.
August 3rd, 2008 at 2:20 pmThat is a felony BTW…
August 3rd, 2008 at 2:28 pmThank you for being on top of all this stuff Pat!
I hope they get what they deserve.
August 3rd, 2008 at 2:37 pmThat explains why I wasn’t able to get on Pat’s or Michelle Malkin’s site that night. I tried on two different computers, but the same problem on both. You think maybe they’re getting desperate? The truth about Obama is getting out.
August 3rd, 2008 at 2:44 pmThe Hussein retards are on the ropes. Thier campaign is vaporizing and all they have left for them to do is chicken-shit stuff like hacking web sites that are merely opening the eyes of the folks who are smarter than the average sheep.
Well, guess what…….we’re still here, and they’re in deep kimche!

August 3rd, 2008 at 3:32 pmBoth my wife and I had problems getting Dollard, Dhimmi Watch, Jihad Watch, Hot Air and others yesterday morning.
At first I thought it was my Vista again (as this POS system does daily) but Windows had the same problem with the same websites.
I am to ignorant about the net to know what exactly the problem was, but it sure seemed fishy to me.
August 3rd, 2008 at 3:52 pmHey, wait a minute, DC! My Chinese wife loves kimchee I don’t like the smell myself, but I know it isn’t manure.
August 3rd, 2008 at 3:59 pmJust like Pravda eh?
August 3rd, 2008 at 4:00 pmthats really messed up. taking away the peoples right to free speech which is exactly what these websites are all about is flat out wrong. I dont need to tell anyone that. but what a blatant move on their part, IP addresses can always be traced.
the Obama campaign must be scared shitless of all of us because it is the web where he is catching the most hell because we’re not afraid to talk truth about this guy. the MSM will not do it, of course we’re a threat
August 3rd, 2008 at 4:02 pmI had the same trouble on multiple sites mentioned here. If hussein ends up in the White House … Let your mind cogitate on the possibility that this type of hacking will be the norm, in addition to which the ‘fairness doctrine” is added by the marxists in control of congress.
The truth is coming out and hurting this guy, and they are reacting as any typical liberal zealot would.
August 3rd, 2008 at 4:17 pmIt isn’t just the conservative critics of Obama … it’s any critic ….

Merely a figure of speech, bro……merely a figure of speech…………..I love kimchee!!! So much so, I make it at home!
August 3rd, 2008 at 4:34 pmThis turns out to be a good thing.
They got caught red handed showing the world who they really are.
Obama can’t undo this and he can’t nuance his way out either.
I switched over to Firefox and the internet actually works for me now.
Fuck bi-racial communists and fuck Internet Exploder too.
August 3rd, 2008 at 4:38 pmActually, I started noticing problems the night before the shit hit the fan for us all.
I went to bed thinking I needed a new modem box from the internet company.
You know damn well if the McCain machine had connections to anything like this the MSM would have him politically dead right now …
August 3rd, 2008 at 5:16 pmThanks for keeping us up on this information. This is indeed a trend to watch.
August 3rd, 2008 at 5:36 pmWell that explains what the hell the problem was the other night. I also switched to Firefox and it cleared up the issue.
I agree, if they do it now they will only increase the control once in office. You know, the crap they say Bush did even though he never did.
August 3rd, 2008 at 6:00 pmThose 36 hours now make sense. Nearly all the sites I go to were affected. Thanks Pat 2 U!
August 3rd, 2008 at 6:11 pmI had problems loging on to this site. The site would pop up, then an eror mesage would say can’t find site, then the site would pop off.
August 3rd, 2008 at 7:15 pmOur blog, Do The Right Thing, was exactly the same as you reported. 36 hours almost on the nose.
So here’s my question: being that several blogs will be covering the Republican National Convention is a few weeks, will be be able to count on Blogger/Google to be available for us to report?

August 3rd, 2008 at 8:37 pmFlagging a site as “Spam” falls under the category of dirty tricks. It’s kind of the 2008 version of rat fucking; see Urban Dictionary http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ratfuck It’s not right but it’s (marginally) legal.
However, a Denial of Service attack is flat-out illegal and wrong. Kind of like the Soviet’s jamming Voice of America if you will. (Actually I like that analogy since the blogs ARE the voice of America now that the MSM refuses to print the truth and actively participates in nonsense like Rathergate and Photoshopped pictures of atrocities that never happened)
The a fore mentioned IP addresses should be part of a complaint to the FCC and the FEC and this story should go nuclear!
August 4th, 2008 at 3:19 amI call it a high class problem when either you have too much business or if your detractors are feeling the heat and want to cause problems.
August 4th, 2008 at 4:40 amcome to think of it I had lots of problems Friday evening after getting to various websites to go to the comments section, as did my wife on her normal
August 4th, 2008 at 7:00 amnObama 08, he’s a lying racist scumbag. he also hates free speech obviously..
August 4th, 2008 at 7:09 amWhoah…
There are three possible benign explanations for this. I’m not saying that the Obamatrons aren’t doing it, or that other leftist haters are behind it, but consider:
1) Last week, Sitemeter screwed up sites. Instapundit (who is no fan of Obama0 reported that he had to remove it for a while.
2) Blogspot marked a whole lot of sites as spam sites - incorrectly. Not only were conservative sites marked, but such innocent sites as generology sites and family pages. Whether false spam reporting by lefty tricksters were involved has not been established.
3) In DDOS attacks, depending on the method, the source IP addresses can be forged. The amount of DDOS traffic reported suggests a bot-net (a large collection of innocent computers subverted to participate in a coordinated attack) rather than three computers at Obama’s web site.
August 4th, 2008 at 9:05 amSo is this how Obama feels about free speech? Sounds like the constitution just gets in his way.
August 4th, 2008 at 9:28 amHTTP://ANTIMULLAH.COM was also hit. One of the seven blog sections “Ruthless Roundup” was first reported as SPAM and instead of requiring inserting some skewy letters to post (as is usually the case when soneone plays a dirty trick) the message this time (never seen it before) said only Drafts could be saved but nothing posted.
Then within the hour, the message changed to “nothing could be posted” on that particular blog section though the others still worked.
This happened instantly that a photo of a truckload of people was posted (take alook).
http://alanpetersroundup.blogspot.com/2008/07/will-obama-be-disqualified.html
Previously it appeared to be a pro-Mullah employee in the night shift of the Tech dept of Google who froze my sites when he/she didn’t like something posted about the ayatollahs,
Never thought to try Firefox, which I have on my laptop.
Sitemeter acted up but eventtually fixes itself.
Today I had to deal with a SPAM (insert letters) request for my hotmail account.
