Don’t worry about oil and natural gas interruption. The production areas are almost non-existent east of the Louisiana border. Oh there are a few off of the MS/AL border but not that much.

I have been in 4 Starting with gloria in 1985 in New England Andrew in 1992 in S florida and couple of others
No big deal Power out sucks but driving seeing the damage and smelling the wood from the trees is cool
You really have to be within 5 miles if the eyewall to be in a real huuricane. It looks mean on the satellite shot but its not really as evil as it is made out to be
